Food is great, The waitress Davini Was a doll. Extremely welcoming and professional. Food came out fast, But when the bill came, he charged the six dollars for one pancake with chocolate chips. It did not show on the menu what one pancake would cost, and it actually averaged out as the same price if we got short stacks. We also noticed that there’s an automatic four dollar charge so they can “offset The cost of using a credit card” Which is absolutely ridiculous because everywhere we go or have went only require that at least $10 is spent and no fees would be added to your card. This is a clear cash grab, And honestly, extremely unprofessional and disgusting. Imagine if they have 200 customers coming in today times that by four that’s $800 In one day. Times that by Let’s say six days a week, That’s $4800 a week. Let’s say $4800 a week times four, that’s 19, 200 a MONTH!! This is a hustle and I work too damn hard to just get charged for no reason. I told the waitress about my concerns, she was again extremely kind and said she would speak to the manager, which I believe may also be the owner, Don’t quote me. The manager was seen yelling at the waitress from a not too far distance by my eldest daughter and was heard saying “ Maybe if they just looked at the menu instead of complaining” A few minutes later, the manager walks up to us Really jazzed up coming off like she drank 12 cups of coffee In a matter of an hour. Her responses were very sarcastic and dismissive, And attempted to make us appear As if we were trying to get some sort of discount without actually saying it. As a pro Latino male, Seeing how this all white staff or customers, And white manager or owner And how they treated this young black queen, Was heartbreaking. She told her she had a child and needed to make a living, but she could see that she wasn’t really happy. I get this place may be a local favorite, But for me and my wife and kids to be staying at split rock resort in Lake Harmony for my 50th birthday, And this being my 50th breakfast gathering, It was a huge letdown and I would never ever return and I would encourage others to have them stop Adding four dollars to every customer’s check. I have to admit I was terrified when my in-laws turned into the shopping center with a plan to eat. All that went straight out the window once I stepped foot into this place! They decor a little is welcoming, comforting, and also hilarious. The staff was so incredibly welcoming, our waitress and our boss boy were just talking about how much they loved working there. We took advantage of the dollar cinnamon buns that come with a cup of coffee. Peaches and cream were a hit! We had two children with us and the staff was so Accommodating! Even brought out extras of what our kids seemed to be eating the most of. A few of the things we ordered were pretty basic breakfast items plus the chicken and waffles and the corned beef hash which the table agreed was the star of the show! Everything was great. Everything was delicious. Everything was fast and hot, and the price was unbeatable. We jokingly said we’d make a day trip up just to come back. My husband is a chef, and we met at the restaurant he worked at and he was known as the “grumpy chef” and so this place was just so perfect for us as they also claim to have a grumpy chef! Wouldn’t want it any other way! Ps the shop next door has name brand clothes for an insane price. Lol I suggest you go on a Friday or Saturday and once you’re done do some shopping and then find the Amish farmers market...

Non locals beware!!! The place is warm and inviting but the food is very very ordinary and overly priced. All the flavor stuff is hit and miss. We ordered 3 flavored drinks and all of them were very sugary. An order of pancakes w choc chip was missed w no choc chips and undercooked pancakes.

I should have paid special attention to the sign posted looking for line cook (will train).

Apparently anybody can assemble a plate with ready made ingredients & no attention to quality check and presentation.

Edit: No such offer was made. Must be mistaken. In honesty I would not take the comp off as each of us tasted the drink a couple of times for the novelty of it but none of us particularly enjoyed it as it was too sugary. It was as if the proportion of sugar and flavor were interchanged. For no chocolates in pancake we were offered a side of raw choc chips instead of re-doing it. For our bagel it was not evenly toasted and throwing 2 tubes of cream cheese is not what we expected. You are charging and we are paying good money not to spread our own bagel!
