Upon walking in, I was definitely caught off guard by the pricing as well as the owner's attitude. I went to pick up my order, and it was my first time trying their food, plus I'm new to the area. We only got two combination platters (nothing else), and it was over $40. I simply asked the owner if there was a mistake with my order and he got very flustered when confirming my order and had a bit of an attitude when explaining that those are the prices because they sell larger quantities of food. I didn't argue and just accepted the cost.
I'll give credit where it's due and say that the food was actually pretty decent, and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a pretty decent quantity of food, too (as he said). The owner just needs a better attitude and to properly portion his platters and price the food accordingly. Or at least give customers options to pick different sizes. Very few people eat 3 days' worth of leftovers of Chinese takeout in a row. It's just a...
Read moreThis place was surprisingly good/solid Chinese food, better than I would expect from the Poconos location (and I’m usually a harsh critic)
Went here for dinner, while staying at the nearby split-rock resort. Tried most of the dishes as we had a large group (Beef fried rice, chicken and broccoli, general Tso’s chicken, Chicken Lo-main, etc). Everything was very good and tasty except for the General Tso’s chicken (maybe personal preference). The SINGAPORE NOODLES WERE EXCELLENT if you like things a little spicier.
Also, staff was very friendly & accommodating. Only thing I would improve is the presentation of the dishes, which came out pilled in household plates without much care for how it was presented (but may have had to do with us having a large party and going there close to their closing time) Overall, very satisfied...
Read moreAs a New Yorker I was always afraid of getting Chinese food in the poconos. I finally tried this place with my wife and we could not believe how good it was. As good or even better than a lot of places in nyc as long as you know what to get. I’ve read some of these bad reviews people talking about ordering something they’ve never tried before and having some high expectations, just order the Chinese food go to’s and this place doesnt disappoint. We got sesame chicken combo and boneless spare ribs combo with some chicken wings and dumplings. Portion size is great so we had leftovers for the next day and all the food was excellent. My only complaint is the price, but when you have a good product I guess you’re able to charge a premium. The only Chinese food I will get when...
