This is an email I sent to corporate. The service here is awful. Long lines inside and out. The doors are locked more than open. I go to the store in Blakeslee PA when we are there at our vacation home about twice a month. For some reason they either are closed during posted open hours or they almost always have the doors locked and make everyone use the drive through. This makes a simple 5-7 min stop turn into 20+ mins with a long line. My young daughter and I make a trip there every time we are at our place. We have been doing this since she was old enough to talk and order on her own. She was about 4 yrs old, she is now 11. This has become a tradition and our thing and is messed up by this lack of proper management. Either we are told they don’t have enough employees or nothing at all. In my opinion they are being lazy and don’t know how to effectively handle drive through, phone orders and walk ins. Seeing there is anywhere from 3-5 employees there sometimes. This is not the type of service I would expect from a national chain.
This seemed to have started around COVID but has continued way too long & often even up to this day. It seems it is this way every time we are here and that’s not very much. So it probably way more than it should. The worse part is they seem to let some people in but not others. There is no sign posted with an explanation just locked doors. Customer after customer walks up to the door and pull the handle only to find it locked. Some with small children they have taken out of a car seat or an older person with a cain. They turn in disbelief and frustration only to find the drive through line 20 cars deep is their only option. Some get in that line but many just leave. As I would, if my daughter would not be upset and devastated.
I am informing you of this out of concern that no one beyond the manager or maybe the franchise owner may be aware of this. If that is even the case? It just looks bad and makes me not want to go to any DD.
FYI, I composed this email while I was waiting in the DT line. With plenty of...
Read moreWell I sat in this Drive through line for 40 minutes today. I watched tons of people park on the side road (all parking spots in the lot were taken) ,walk into the lobby, to walk out minutes later with their orders, hower I had not seen a single car leave the drive through in front of me with a completed order once in a 10 minute time frame..It felt as if they have a different policy with the drive through? 🤔 I know it's always a little quicker to run inside but this was customer after customer after customer. If there were any spots available in the parking lot, I would have surely pulled out of the line, parked and ran inside but that was not an option. I had one car ahead of me to the order kiosk and I see an employee walk out with a small letter / sign and post it on the speaker box. As I pulled up I got to read "We are unable to cook anything ATM"....so great to sit in line for 40 minutes to find out when you get to the window they can't provide the item you are there to get in the first place. Smh Aggravating all around. Not one thing to actually put blame on. I just wished they would put a little more effort to get the people in drive through taken...
Read moreAt seven in the morning, I walked into Dunkin’ Donuts, with two people in front of me. The customer discussing with the cashier, that her bill was $4.98 +tax, the patron gave her $20.25. The cashier then proceeded to give her $13 and some change, when the customer reviewed The receipt with the cashier, stating it was the incorrect, change, the cashier brought over another person. They still couldn’t figure it out, so they brought a third person from the back. After the customer spent a good five minutes reviewing a receipt with the three employees, I blurted out what change should be given to the patron, which they finally did . I placed my order, and proceeded to go to my car to get my dog some water and walk her while my order was being made. Returning a few minutes later, the three cashiers were still discussing the mathematics from the prior customer, then another person from the back mumbled that my order was ready, and of course it was not mine, even though was no one else in the store .
My advice if you’re going to use Duncan in Blakeslee, use your credit card and double check your order, Or you may just want to...
