I'm deeply saddened . As a lifelong toledo resident I've always said ginos was the best in the world. I mostly grew up eating from the Arlington location .The sauce was homemade by a very nice elderly woman. I also remember the location on broadway with the window where you could see the woman work. We re talking 40 years or so ago. I never noticed change in that awesome pizza I was thrilled to share with all my out of town visitors. It was nearly a half inch thick. The dough had crisp crust and an almost doughy inside It was covered in a sweet pizza sauce and the cheese was amazing. It was at least an 1/8 inch thick or more. It pulled like strings when you separated a slice. We all thought it was a custom blend. I can't stress how amazing this pizza was. Unfortunately the good old days are over. Tonight's pizza was paper thin and the the crust was like a cracker with a hair line of cheese on top. I was there to pick it up when it came out of the oven When I got home there was no stretch to the cheese half the slices had already separated on there own. It's very disappointing when a legend fails but for the first time in decades I'm going to look for a new pizza restaurant I'm not gonna use full names because that would be rude and I do wish this business well but there's a well known "in'' this town and also a restaurant on the west side with an "A" that is said to have ties to the ginos family. Bless you Ginos family but its definitely time to try and go back to the way things used to be done... The family usually eats the whole thing tonight they wanted something else. Sorry but the oy good part about the experience was that the young ladies in the front of the store were very nice and appeared focused on their...
Read moreAwful. Over priced, tiny pizza to begin with. Extremely rude owners/staff. Then, there were multiple pieces of hair in it. Complete waste of $27, we didn’t even touch the 2nd pizza. I’m sick the first few edge slices got eaten by my children. Will NEVER return. I’ve heard so many negative things about this establishment lately but we’ve been trying one local pizza establishment per week (this one was close) and this is the only bad one we’ve had yet. I would have called with a complaint but they were so rude when we picked up, I would likely would have just gotten more angry. * really confused by the owner’s response. Nothing was explained over the phone, nor was anything offered. And if it was I assume it would have been full of hair as well. Apparently we aren’t the only ones with the issue either. We’ve tried multiple different locals and this was the most expensive, smallest portion, worst service, and the only one that was downright inedible because it was...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that we love ginos and we have only ever gotten ginos for special occasions and just for easy dinners ! They are my go to but tonight might be the last night I ever order from them again. We had my child’s 2nd birthday party and the xtra large pizza was large enough to feed the whole family but after find a lump of hair in our first order we felt the need to contact them and reorder , we understand mistakes happy , but once we drove back and got our second order and sitting down to eat once again and found another hair baked into the cheese is when I started to gag on my bit . I’m so disappointed and frankly I won’t even be back to order again . When I callled to let them know what happens yet a second time I was being extremely conscious . The lady didn’t say anything to me and honestly didn’t ask much or say sorry . Probably the worst establishment Iv...
