La Paloma Pastries — Restaurant in Toledo

Very much disappointed!!! Called my order in at 9am. Told them I couldn't pick up till 145. Was 142pm I was on Broadway and western. They called and said I didn't call early enough for my 2 dozen tamales and they where out!! I rushed across town and they sold them too someone else. This isn't the first time this has happened...... I will no longer support a business that does this too there customers, especially when they say always call first. Guess they need more than a 6hr notice for 2 dozen tamales.... They have the best Mexican baked goods. My favorite are the Pumpkin Empanadas because it's just like my granny used to make. Of course the cinnamon cookies, the molasses spice cookies Marranitos and other fresh baked goods. Before going I will call my family and say I'm making a trip to Paloma for some baked goods and they'll give me their orders. They're barbacoa and milagro corn tortillas are the best combination. I like La Paloma pastries because it's a business that is right around the corner from my home. They offer authentic Mexican pastries, everything from tamales, enchiladas as well other wonderful kinds of authentic Mexican products.
