I came here last year with my husband to order food and I simply asked if they had chicken nuggets, mind you, I have never ordered food at sonic, only drinks. The girl on the headset says “We’re not mcdondals”. When a lady came out to give me my order, I asked her who was on the headset and she said a new employee. I let that situation go, who knows why she said that. I’ve worked in food quite a while and would never talk to a customer like that. Anyways, moving forward, I come in today (thursday, 9/12 at 2:40PM) to order drinks. I do a walk up and it is windy outside, I could barely hear the girl on the headset and i’m assuming she could barely hear me because she was saying my order wrong, she repeated my order and since I couldn’t hear her, I repeated back. She gives me an attitude and says “that’s what I just said”. Then she continues to talk to me in a disrespectful matter, “that’s what I just asked you”. I don’t know what kind of people this sonic is hiring, but this is ridiculous. What did she gain from giving me an attitude? all I want is a slushie man and apparently that’s too much to ask...
Read moreI used to LOVE this location. It's close to my home and it's decent food. Tonight however I was really sick to my stomach. My husband and I ordered to go meals. $30.33.... not only could the guy not say the total correctly. We got our food. Handed the young lady money as she had the bill in her hand read off everything we ordered AND TOLD US THE TOTAL WAS 30.33. So we got our food and waited for change. Food and blasts looked amazing. The young lady comes back and hands my husband $7 dollars. My husband says no we gave you. $40.33... you owe us $10. She states " sir your bill was $33.30. "Ok here's why I'm writing the review. Its not the $3.00 that makes me upset. Its the fact that WE knew our total, our order screen NEVER DISPLAYED OUR ORDER AND THIS YOUNG STOLE FROM US AND THEN LIED TO OUR FACES. Trust me I'll be calling the manager in the morning. The young lady literally made a bad choice, got caught AND then lied to a customer to their face when confronted about THEFT. Read more(Full disclosure: first time eating at Sonic Drive-In). Ordered a cheeseburger, a chicken slider, and a cherry-limeade drink. Burger was not seasoned, and the vegetables were not crisp or fresh tasting. The slider had too many pickle chips and too much mayonnaise; additionally, the chicken mini-pattie was too salty and tasted like it was fried in oil that needs to be changed. I've heard about the cherry-limeade for decades so I was looking forward to finally trying it... turns out it is syrupy Sprite mixed with crushed ice and grenadine - basically a "Shirley Temple." Add the poor food experience to slow car service and dated (and not in the intentionally retro way the company intends) building and equipment, and I doubt I will ever eat at a Sonic Drive-Thru again. As with any large corporation, I'm sure there are Sonic Drive-Thru locations that are well-run in all respects, but my experience today leaves me wary...
