I visited the Tolleson location today and unfortunately had a disappointing experience due to a lack of basic customer service. When I arrived, I asked an employee where the barbed wire rolls were located. Rather than providing clear guidance, I was vaguely told that barbed wire could be found “all over the store” — from the back to the middle left and even outside. Despite explaining what I was looking for, I received no real assistance, so I had to search on my own. Thankfully, I eventually found the barbed wire and loaded several heavy rolls onto a cart, along with buckets of U-shaped barbed staples.
I made my way to the cashier counter on the left side of the store, where an employee named Cassy informed me that only the other side was open for checkout. I explained that my cart was very heavy and asked if they could assist me there instead. At that point, it seemed the cashier inside the counter was about to help me — they even moved to the computer on the left side — but Cassy insisted that I had to move everything to the other side, offering no assistance or consideration.
What made this more frustrating was Cassy’s dismissive attitude. Rather than helping, she stood on the sidelines giving unhelpful responses, making rude facial expressions, and acting more like an obstacle than someone there to support customers. I was especially surprised by the lack of empathy given that I arrived just about an hour before closing — a time when most staff aim to help customers finish up efficiently.
Overall, I’m very disappointed in the customer service I received. I expected a more professional and helpful attitude, not someone telling me what’s easiest for them instead of what helps the customer. I hope management addresses this issue and reminds staff that being courteous and solution-oriented...
Read moreTerrible and waste of my time ~ As I pulled into the lot I noted how there was only one vehicle (and it was likely an employee's). Store was clean but obviously empty of customers. I went to where I would find nuts and bolts at other tractor supplies and there was dog food there. A male employee swiftly avoided me. I yelled out, "excuse me where's nuts and bolts?" I couldn't believe he didn't hear me. Oh well on with the mission of finding these large bolts for my husband's project. Found them and now how to read the sizes, the lengths the type, metric or ??? So confusing i wished that I could find someone to assist me. After 30 min of not finding them, I went to the front cashier and requested some assistance. I was told that I needed to look at every bolt before asking her to help. Then she asked me did you look at EVERY bolt or not. I believe I did I replied but I can't say for sure. She sassily grilled me, that she shouldn't leave her register if I have not looked at every one she huffed! "Wow", I've never seen such a rude TS clerk in my life. No wonder the store was empty! She point to a bolt, "is that your bolt?" No, how about that one down there" (obviously not). "Well if you don't know what it's for then we don't have it. Go to Copper state across hr street like everyone else." I told her twice again, I was just came from there and they error ordered too few, and I needed more besides not everyone buys all their bolts there; we buy pounds and pounds of bolts at Buckeye TS." I left there determined not to give the store my business since she was so rude. I left there without my dog vaccines, dog food, toys, and the cooler drink because she cost TS business and I now know why the...
Read morePretty bad customer service. I have purchased over 15k worth of stall mats for my gyms in the past from tractor supply and will no longer do so. Today I purchased some stall mats and when we went back to grab them the first 3 had some stains. These stains don’t come out (I’ve tried in the past and have been doing this for years) so management came out and said what’s the problem? I asked if there one of them would help me sort through the 1 pallet they had for the handful of a mats I purchased. I only needed 3 with out stains. Management said “no we won’t go through a pallet would rather just give you your money back” … time is money, I get that. But if you have a customer who spends good money with you constantly and is willing to do the dirty work himself (simply lift the mats off and back on the pallet) then there shouldn’t be an issue. Money is also money, and I paid for them. The least management could have done is allow the customer to try to find the ones I needed. If this was my establishment and my employees did that, I would be irate. Not only did they drive away a good paying customer, but they also hurt the bottom line by just giving me a refund instead of taking 5 min out of their day and helping the customer out....
