I don't even know where to start with this review: the display cases full of some of the most beautiful pastries I've even seen; the soft, fresh bread bagged and displayed in baskets around the front counter; the cozy and clean atmosphere; or the great service?
Each of these components are masterfully executed.
We ordered to-go and put together a few different treats. Almond croissant, Dubai chocolate croissant (more on this bit of heaven on earth in a moment), baklava (so, so, so tender yet crunchy) cinnamon roll and a wonderful lemon tart.
Okay, about Dubai chocolate. This dish has exploded on the sweets scene in the last few months, and is likely now in its ubiquitous stage after having enjoyed building a following at smaller, independent shops.
I've been curious about it, but until I had the Dubai chocolate croissant, all I could figure was that it consisted of chocolate and chopped pistachios.
Dear reader, it is so much more than that.
The inside of the croissant is a paste of pistachios, tahini and -- the all star -- kataifi, which is shredded phyllo dough (magic, as far as I'm concerned).
I don't understand the physics of it, but the kataifi somehow stays SUPER crunchy in this paste, and it's that crunch -- a million tiny shreds of crunchy delight -- that make this dessert something to write home about.
I have never had anything like it.
I do plan on trying this dish at other places that I've seen offering it, but something tells me that Bake Me Happy may have spoiled me for other places. It's hard to imagine this dish being so well executed elsewhere. Time will tell.
A lovely person helped us put our box of treats together, and they were knowledgeable about all of the offerings.
In the end, I had to stop myself from ordering too much.
There are so many more things I want to try here. We will...
Read moreOver the past few days, my family and I have tried several items, and all of them have been so good. I will say, the walnut brownie was our least favorite. It is a good brownie, but it is just average compared to everything else we have tried. Our favorite so far is the Paris Brest, with the Pistachio Queen Cake in close second. We almost ordered the Lotus cheesecake but decided to try the San Sebastian instead, and we were at a loss for words with how good it was. Another thing we love is the spinach and feta bread (or roll? Or croissant? I tried to look it up but couldn't find the name. Side note: It wasn't the spinach and feta quiche.) Whatever it is called, my husband chewed with his eyes closed because it's one of the best breads we have ever tasted. They have so many options, and it feels a little dangerous that they are so close to my house because we are excited to try everything. I also love that they are open until 8 pm. There have been many times we craved a good dessert after dinner, and everything was already closed. So far, customer service has been excellent. The place is still new, but it is clean with a nice atmosphere. There are places to sit and plenty of sweet and savory...

I discovered Bake Me Happy through a Facebook ad, and I’m so glad I followed the breadcrumb trail. Tucked away in a quaint shopping center, this artisanal bakery has the kind of charm you’d expect to see in the background of Emily in Paris—classy, chic, and effortlessly Instagram-worthy.
The atmosphere feels like a cozy French atelier, and the attention to detail in the decor reflects the care they put into their food. I ordered the croissant roast beef sandwich, which was perfectly balanced—flaky, buttery pastry enveloping tender, savory beef. For dessert, I treated myself to the pistachio croissant and paired it with a Spanish iced latte. Every bite and sip was fresh, rich in flavor, and clearly made with quality ingredients.
What truly made the experience stand out was the service. I had the pleasure of chatting with Dominic and Emily, who were both incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They guided me through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and helpful recommendations that made my visit even more enjoyable.
I won’t be gatekeeping this gem. Bake Me Happy is everything I hoped for—and more. Do yourself a favor and...
