August 30, 2025 Update: Superb late lunch experience with family just now. It was a toss up between BBQ and Tex-Mex, and latter win out! Glad we returned. Service was fantastic/friendly, with the owner and server stopping by frequently to check on us or just have a friendly chat. The restaurant was clean. Food consisting of Mixed Fajitas for 3 (Beef, Chicken, Carnitas) was the best we have tasted. Sizzling, flavorful, tender meat, fantastic blistered Jalapeños (Toreados), and grilled onions, served with four tortillas. Quantities were ample and the complimentary chips, Salsa (2 kinds), and Queso (2 kinds) were warm and tasty! The whole meal set us back $82, including taxes and tip. Overall, a thoroughly satisfying experience - our favorite place going forward! Do visit - you won’t be disappointed! Located in a strip center in the NE corner of the intersection of Baker Rd and SH 249 in Tomball. Place was semi-full at late lunch on a Saturday. We were welcomed immediately and told to sit at any vacant table. Place was clean and is equipped with a drinks area and bar at the far end. Chips and warm salsa appeared right away and these were replenished at frequent intervals - the warm Salsa hit the spot, could have been spicier though. Drinks consisted of Indio dark beer and Mango Margarita - both were refreshing on a hot and humid SE TX day. The restaurant offers a slightly cheaper Lunch Menu until 5 PM - with Happy Hour too stretching through the day. Food consisted of Grilled Tilapia with Wild Mushroom and Spinach, with Rice and Refried Beans for sides; and Beef and Chicken Fajitas with the usual trimmings of Grated Cheese, Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Pico De Gallo. Flour Tortillas rounded out the Fajita lunch. Food was good (overall tab with 20% tip came to $53 for three persons; not cheap, but hard to find cheap anymore in these days of high inflation) the usual Tex-Mex, but what stood out was the prompt and friendly service - waitstaff and owner were attentive/solicitous, and eager to please. Would return for that aspect alone! Give this local family-owned place a try. The service is likely to blow you away.

Unfortunately I don't have pictures of my enchiladas, but did grab some on my kids order. 4/4 disliked the food. We went here because we saw so many ads about the place. The food temp was extremely hot, so I really hope it's not microwaved. Beef enchiladas were overly greasy, queso Blanco was a lil bit too spicy for the sauce, overly toasted burger buns, and tacos seemed as if left under heat lamp. Hot food is great, but not to the point where it's extremely hot. We live about 20min away and it was still very hot. The beans were too salty and the rice was missing that Mexican rice flavor you get at other restaurants. We were sad to dislike food on our first experience here and also disappointed that the ads up show the food but the quality was lacking. Lastly, the margarita on the rocks was warm. This tells me the mix is at room temp and the drink was not stirred before arriving to my table. Nothing worse than room temp alcohol. I'll give it another shot, but unlikely things will change.

FINALLY!!!!! A good Mexican restaurant in Tomball! We have tried almost everywhere and I remember hearing this place just opened! It’s delicious! We did half n half margaritas (half on rocks half frozen = ZERO water) with Don Julio. Husband ordered birria tacos! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen his face so happy from food
. My feelings were almost hurt. I did the Baja shrimp tacos! Shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well! BEANS AND RICE was so GOOD! I hate when places skimp on the beans and rice that’s one of my favorite parts! We also ordered a side of mole with shredded pork. The mole is house made and just like it’s made in Mexico so so so good! Salsa and chips are also solid! Delicious neighborhood spot!

The food is good, but 1) it's very pricey for what you get. They need to find ways to present the plate in a more pleasing way, like adding color or garnish, rice and beans are cheap guys, refill chips and salsa, and drinks more often. The shrimp ceviche was small and not really ceviche. The shrimp were cooked. 😑 2) The servers really need more training to provide a more professional experience and atmosphere, along with presenting their physical appearance in more professional manner. It was like a fast food restaurant last night. Even though the food wasn't fast or cheap, and 3) It was super loud, there were 3 big tables, and soundproofing would be good or music, something to lighten it up. This restaurant is the equivalent of having a full six-pack (meaning all the elements of being a great restaurant) but lacks the little plastic thing to hold it all together. When they first opened, the service was impeccable and fast. The food was delicious and hot (still $$ but I was willing to pay it when it was good), music was playing, and the drinks were good. It was great! Now, we won't come back unless something drastically changes. I have over 30 people with just my kids and grandkids...js I hope...

Don't let the strip mall storefront fool you - this place is outstanding! I had heard some people talking about how good it was, and I almost dismissed it due to the location. We have SO many Mexican options in the area, I was thinking that this place would fail in less than a year. All I can say is, they better NOT!

Service - A+++ - these guys are top notch and actually care - can't say that about a lot of places these days.

The drinks - I had a plain old frozen margarita which was outstanding (yes, you CAN screw those up believe it or not), and my wife got the "Mangonada Rita" which was really good!

I saved the best for last - the FOOD. So far I've only tried one thing, but it was by far the best fajita I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of them. If you want something bursting with flavor and with just a little kick, I can't recommend the "Fajitas Poblanas" enough! We got the portion for two with chicken and steak, and the portions are extremely generous, unlike a lot of places. It was more than enough for the two of us and thankfully some delicious leftovers.

I know everyone's got their one or two favorite Mexican places in the area, but do yourself a favor and check...
