I ordered a burrito bowl, and wings. The wings were good, crispy outside moist, and the Nashville HOT sauce really had no bite. ( I collect hot sauces from a website attached to a YouTube channel, so it is really relative). The burrito bowl had Mango, Habanero sauce, and was tasty. That said, It was finger food. I was in a hotel that had not opened the breakfast area yet, and did not have utensils. No napkins, no utensils. You have to use what is in a hotel room. (Use your imagination).
How can you take pride in your food, if you don't want people to eat it? I don't believe Manchester NJ eats with their hands, at least I hope it's not that bad around here. A restaurant close to here lost over 100 orders a month because of this issue. I hate to say it, but I will not order from this restaurant either, and recommend others to do the same if they are having it delivered. Wings are easy, use toilet paper, or tissues if the hotel doesn't have anything else. the burrito bowl was a whole other issue. I only grabbed a couple pieces of meat for flavor, and will hold it for tomorrow when I go by a WAWA to get something to eat it with.
Whether its the local custom to eat everything with your hands, or a restaurant that is just saving 5 cents an order, the numbers don't add up. You loose a customer because of disrespect. One order by it's self could have paid for the whole...
Read moreMy daughter has Celiac Disease and two employees at the Bubbakoos, Route 37, Toms River location assured me that the wraps they gave me were corn. As soon as I walked up to the counter to order, I told the employee that she has Celiac Disease, asked the employee to change her gloves, and explained that due to my daughter’s condition, she can only have corn wraps. The female employee said, "Yes, we have corn wraps." When they handed them to me in foil, I asked again, "These are corn, not flour, right?" A male employee then said, "Yes." As my daughter unwrapped the wraps, I saw that they looked like flour. I tasted them and they were clearly flour. I asked the male employee again, "These are corn?" as I pointed at them. He said, "yes," and the female employee overheard and agreed with him. I then explained that I tasted them and they are flour. She then shrugged and said, "Yes, they are flour." No apology. I was shocked. If my daughter ingested gluten at their store, it would have resulted in 4 hours of projectile vomiting and horrific stomach pain. It happens everytime she ingests gluten. These employees need to be properly trained in the seriousness of food allergies and the consequences of their...
Read moreI have been to this location once before and I was satisfied that's why I came back to get the same experience. But I was wrong. I did not get any greeting from any of the crew working. I smiled at the lady behind the counter and got nothing. I asked the guy helping me how he was but he did not ask me back how I was. He looked like he is in training because the lady asked him to change his gloves after he rang the register. He ran out of ground beef so he just walked away and made more. The lady did not help him and just kept working on on-line orders. After he came back after a few minutes and when he was making my carnitas taco, he asked if I want rice in it. What?! You don't put rice in tacos. The 3 tacos I ordered comes with tortilla chips but he took some out from the box in order for the taco shells to fit. I also ordered carnitas tacos but when I got home and took a bite, it was all vegetables. It's not his fault that his training was inadequate. It's not his fault that the owner and manager did not motivate or give him enough compensation for him to do good at his job. The only redeeming factor is that I enjoyed...
