AVOID. Holy cow this place is severally overpriced even for a breakfast place. Stopped here on the way to the beach because I needed to just grab something quick. I ended up eating half only. It was so bad. Like how can someone screw up a breakfast sandwich in general, let alone someone that should be specialized in that. “Cold brew” $5 too?! Makes Starbucks seem worth it now. Didn’t look anything more than coffee in ice from people that ordered it. At least you’ll get more than just the generic pouring coffee in ice. Shouldn’t be charging more than $2.50.
Shut this place down for real!
Looking at the company responses, it really shows why the quality is poor. “Sorry about that, we are very busy on the weekends” is never a good idea to respond to a customer that posted a picture of something even more awful than I got. Also the post about the large order he was trying to place on the phone and goes to the place and asked an employee why they aren’t answering their phone and gets “sorry about that”. These people seem to hate money considering you are shoveling out poorest of the poor quality and terrible customer service. If I were the owner, I’d be losing my mind! “Large order? Sorry, we’re too busy throwing low effort sandwiches at customers that are so stupid to come here and over pay”. Seriously, maybe you could get away with this pre-internet, but sacrificing quality and customer service for low quality and laziness will have you going out of business...
Read moreMy two friends and I were in the area and decided to stop at Joes since the one in Brick is always good. First off the woman there with black hair she was older than the other workers seemed not happy. It felt like she was rushing us to order and she decided to go on her phone and text infront of us. Next, as my friend looked over and watched one girl prepare her bagel with cream cheese, SHE HAD NO GLOVES ON! She touching her hair and everything else in site and to prepare food with no gloves is absolutely disgusting. My friend did go up and say something and asked if it could be re prepared with gloves on. The one girl was so nice about it but the rest of the staff didn’t hesitate to look over and stare at us and give us dirty looks because we asked something that is a common sense thing to do when handling food. The food wasn’t that great but honestly it just wasn’t worth it at that point. All I have to say is not only just have better customer service but anytime handling food, gloves should be on and you should not be touching your hair, face, anything else then touching food. Sorry but never will be back to this establishment. Should take some tips from your Brick location. Never a...
Read moreShopped once, never again. Tried this place out on a Sunday morning and ordered online. Was told it would take 20 minutes for carry out, no problem. Arrived at the restaurant 20 min later. The place was packed, again, not a problem, but it being being my first visit, there isn't a sign nor anyone to guide customers who were there for carry out, thus I waited in line for about 15 min. Finally, got to cashier, was told that my online order was being prepared. I didn't receive my order for another 10 minutes. So, by the time I got home, it was about an hour, and, remember, i ordered online! Needless to say, the staff needs more training (there were 5 people behind counter, 1 cashier, 4 food prep workers milling about, no sense of purpose or urgency), the food (pictured) wasn't hot (notice cheese isn't even melted) and it's not something special that you can just replicate at home. If things become better, I'd like to dine there again because of the close proximity, but not...
