🍕 Unexpectedly the best pizza in Toms River—hands down.
I was first introduced to Sal’s by a client of mine who treated our crew to lunch during a project. He brought us a Sicilian pie from Sal’s, and although I didn’t get to try it fresh out of the box, I grabbed a slice later in the day when it had cooled to that “not-quite-warm” stage. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much—but the moment I took a bite, I was blown away. Even slightly cold, the pizza was packed with flavor, fresh, and perfectly balanced. I immediately went for a second slice.
The next day, I found myself craving it again. That’s when I knew I had to find out where it came from. When I saw the client again, I asked him the name—and sure enough, he pointed me to Sal’s and told me to speak to anyone there because the whole staff is great.
He was right. The hospitality was top-notch, and when I ordered my own Sicilian plain pie, it confirmed everything—I had found my new go-to. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in Toms River over the years, and Sal’s instantly became my #1. I live off pizza, and this place jumped to the top of my list with one bite.

Read moreI moved to Toms River from Bayonne over a year ago. I miss my Bayonne food so I'm weary of trying places down here. Ordered the pizza last week from Sals and it was good, hence the 3 stars but ordered the Italian food today and it was 1 star and over priced. When they didn't have eggplant rollentini on the menu and said they could make it I should of known better. It came with spoiled pasta. I'm a chef, family had restaurant in Staten island so I know the business and Italian food. The pasta was spoiled because they pre cook the pasta then toss it and oil and when it sits in the refrigerator for over a day it starts to stink. That's what happened here. I called up and I told them but they didn't redeem the situation. Clams and antipasto was made with no love. And meatballs were mooshad.. must of been in the steam table for over 4 days SALS..i ordered today $35 worth, you know who I am. If you want me come in and consulate you will be the best Italian food down here. You would get killed if u sold that to people in Bayonne! Call...
