Wawa — Restaurant in Toms River

I ordered online for speed and convenience. The orders are usually on the rack for pick up. After a couple of minutes waiting , I ask the young lady behind the counter, she says the order is with the cashier ? I wait in line with 6 others while a former employee holds up the line making jokes with the cashier. He attempts to ring it up, although it was paid in advance. The Mgr came over to show that it was paid for. A bad experience , but I was just going to chalk it up to a bad day for them. Unfortunately , the bad service was not over. When I get the kids meal home for him, the sandwich was not made the way it was ordered. so it was a big waste of time, and I have to go elsewhere to feed him. Most of us locals avoid the store in the Summer because it gets super busy. That can not be an excuse in the middle...

The new layout at this Wawa is atrocious. If I could give this no stars I would...They used to have Freal machines, that probably made a lot of money from me alone lol, and now they are gone. That was one of the only reasons that I rode my bike three miles to your wawa, along with your chicken that used to be In the heated displays at the checkout counter, which mind you now is also gone. I will forever be saddened that this “renovation” occurred. (I personally thought that renovations were to make places better but we can all probably see that that has not happened here...) If (and hopefully when) they decide to add back all the things that made me love wawa with all of my heart, I will be forever grateful and...

For one of the busiest places to visit (especially during, say, lunch in July), this Wawa consistently pumps through a huge volume of customers. Most things needing to be made by an employee are ordered via in-store kiosk or the Wawa app. This makes it clear what you want on your sandwich but takes away any personal ordering (which is great for some people and not so much for others). Quality is consistent. This isn't a restaurant but it's several notches above most gas/convenience stores. Our stop for morning coffee and the standby for any last minute...
