I rarely give three stars, but this one was for lack of concern or someone could die moment. What am I talking about ? I am gluten intolerant and do have reactions to cross contamination or gluten in my food. I may not need an epi pen, but one will be needed here. I asked for recommendations on gluten-free items on the menu like I always do at any restaurant, which is Red Robin or not. The words that came out of my servers mouth not only shocked me but cause for concern. She told me she has no clue what is gluten-free and was told by management that they are not responsible to know the customer can look it up. I have been to this so-called list, and it is not complete with all sauces, etc. So yes, I am going to ask my server if it is safe to eat or find out. It's just someone's life here, no big deal. We are more than one life if we are wrong, right? 😂🙄 I have traveled all over the country for the last 6 years, trying to find gluten-free restaurants to eat at for myself and anyone looking like myself. The management needs to have a rude awakening if this is actually true what this server who was over the bar area said. Not knowing your companies food and ingredients is a big part, not for yourself but company wide. You are a lawsuit waiting to happen and one's life. This is the first Red Robin in 6 states that told me this. Did I eat after this? Yes, but I was leary after this conversation. Would I recommend this restaurant? Maybe but if you don't know what is in all your food your at risk. Will I return to this...
Read moreFood was decent, but horrible service. We were seated at the worst table in the restaurant, most likely because we were with a toddler. Many other empty tables were available. Tiny table right by the kitchen. Our server would not write our orders down. (I ordered a to-go meal as well). Ended up having to come back both times to verify what we had ordered, both times she had something wrong. We did not eat quickly, but once our meals were served, never saw her again. Finally asked another server if he could find her and send her over with the check and some boxes. He nicely brought us our boxes. She then finally appeared and asked if he had brought us the check too. Never offered refills. Originally had to ask for a straw; only received 2 straws for 3 drinks. None of these details were horrible, other than the disappearing act, but no apology for making us sit forever, drinkless, waiting for the check. Had an underlying smug attitude. I'm more mad at myself for leaving a 20 percent tip due to not having correct change to tip down. Didn't feel like waiting any longer. I understand servers get busy, but the table next to us who had a different server, had good service. Not sure if it would be worth it to go back with the risk of having such an...
Read moreI just experienced one of the most terrifying restaurant situations in my life, as a worm-looking bug literally fell off the ceiling onto my plate. After notifying a waitress, whose reaction was even more dramatic than mine, she then, in a panic, scooped it onto a plate and took it to the manager. The managers reaction was completely unexpected. In an unconcerned manner, he offered us another seat near where the worm had just fallen. After rejecting the obviously terrible offer, he said said, "well we don't collect centipedes, not sure where that would have come from" as if we brought that nasty thing with us!! After I insisted that they check the area before they seat another customer, he said that it would be "ok". Now, I understand they don't want to cause a panic in the restaurant, but the health of their customers should have been more of a concern in a situation like this. The service before the incident was absolutely phenomenal. The bug problem and the grossly unprofessional and unconcerned manager has completely ruined my experience with Red Robbin. I can say, with complete certainty, that I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Ever. They clearly have a bug infestation if something like that just drops from the...
