We used to visit Subway quite frequently due to the convenient location. While there have been many mistakes made on our order, incorrect prices charged, and poor service, we did not complain as everyone makes mistakes and everyone has a bad day. However, I had a very bad experience and for once in my life, I finally placed a complaint, only to experience the poor customer service from Lyle Scott- Franchisee. The situation (quite long) was as follows: I needed to order sandwiches for my family for dinner. 8 sandwiches were needed, but the online service would not order more than 6. So, we placed one order for 6 sandwiches and another for 2. The order was a little under $80.00. The first order was quoted a ready time of 4:25PM, since I didn't place the other order until 7 minutes later, I thought picking the order up around 4:40PM would be more appropriate. I arrived at Subway at approximately 4:40PM, only to be told my order hadn't even been started yet. They were very busy, so I understood and had a seat next to an employee (taking a mandatory break, nothing wrong with that) after about 5 minutes he asked the employees behind the counter if my order was ready, they stated no. Once he was done with his break shortly after, he was the one that finally started my order. It was not done until shortly before 5:00PM. As I was walking to my car, I counted and noticed there were 2 sandwiches missing, so I went back in, they handed me 2 more, and I left. When I got home, almost every sandwich was incorrect (yes, almost $80.00 worth of sandwiches were wrong) I did not want to go back, as I did not have time to wait for 20-40 more minutes for new sandwiches to be made. (We were fixing up my house to sell) So, we picked off what we didn't like, threw away the extra meatball subs, and bought the kids McDonalds since they wouldn't eat any of the sandwiches. (No issues with McDonalds, they were fast and they got the Happy Meals correct) Later, I was still upset, so I sent a summarized email (Only stating I had to wait for 20 minutes and the order was wrong) to Subway, so they could learn from the mistakes and maybe require the staff to double check the order before handing it to the customers. However, that is not what happened. I received a message from Lyle Scott stating "We have reviewed video at length. What you describe you received is not what we see being prepared and handed you. We see the staff making the order you submitted online. The second order of two sandwiches was received at the store 10 minutes later than the first six sandwiches. That is why the employees did not have the whole order ready at 4:25. The entire order was ready by 4:32. You had left the store and did not return until about 5:52" Since that was obviously not me, I responded to let him know that it appeared they gave my order to the wrong customer, which would explain why that customer came back later. To which, he never responded. From his email, I'm assuming they have many people try to get free stuff, but I did not ask for money or free food. So, he just assumes everyone is a liar and provides possibly the worst customer service I have ever come across. I just wanted them to be aware of the situation so they could prevent this from happening to anyone else. I highly recommend Schlotsky's or Goodcents if you are looking for great service and great food! However, if you do decide to eat Subway... if your order is wrong, just take it back to the store so you don't have to deal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all 17 minutes waittime after the quoted time in app for a carside to go single sandwich pickup order is absolutly ridiculous and absurd considering upon arrival there were zero customers there and in the 17 minute wait only 1 other vehicle showed up and the customer got a single sandwich as as well. There were atleast 3 employees on duty that saw so they a were obviously both not short handed and not busy. Now to make matters worse! Zero of my instructions on how I wanted the sandwich or what ingredients I ordered were taken into consideration, followed or done right. Ordered a footlong ultimate turkey toasted on italian bread with provolone, lettuce, extra tomato, extra cucumber, extra green peppers and lite olives with salt, pepper, mayo, less honey mustard, less garlic aioli, requested cut into 4 pieces and not so much sauce that it would be sloppy or wet please. What i Recieved however was a hard as a rock italian and cheeze n herb bread NOT toasted footlong turkey n provolone sandwich with no extra meat or cheeze may have actually had less than the regular turkey footlong has as it was a single layer of both turkey and UNMELTED cheeze and neither met both ends of the bread. Recieved 3 tomato slices total 4 cucumber slices , no green peppers , 6 black olive slices and 3 pepperchini slices. Not my idea of extra on the tomatoes or cucumbers, wheres my extra green peppers heck wheres any green peppers and didnt want the pepperchinis on there or id have checked that box... pretty sure they forgot the salt n pepper as i couldnt see or taste it and they left out the garlic aoili but managed to put so much honey mustard and mayo on it that it was dripping like it was 3 days old yet somehow this ancient rock hard bread was not gonna give in and soften up even a little bit. The sloppiest yet crunchiest sandwich ever and of course not only did they not cut it into 4 as requested , but they couldnt even manage to fully cut it into 2 pieces lol. Somebody teach these kids how to read and buy them a knife sharpener! All in all this was a experience was terrible with horribly slow, awful service were both the instructions and order were of little importance when my meal was made. Apparently the employees in this store do it their way not the customers way. I wont be wasting my time or mkney there ever again and speaking of money the whole coupon issue in Topeka where none of the a Topeka locations take none of the coupons that we all get in the mail every few weeks, well its not right or fair. All in all it just amounts to A BAIT N SWITCH tactic and if not illegal it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Subway continues to go downhill. Unfortunately it's the closest one to our house, which is the only reason we keep trying to eat it. When they're not out of toppings or bread (yes, they actually ran out of bread) then their service is ridiculous. We actually had to return our sandwiches to the store tonight because there was so much mayonnaise on two of the sandwiches they were not edible. The top half of the other sandwich somehow got ripped in half and totally fell apart when we opened it. Oh, and speaking of bread, one of the sandwiches was like eating a crouton. Not fresh at all. On top of all this, the two guys working were incompetent. I ordered a #23 and had to tell the guy what toppings were supposed to be on it per the menu. I then asked them what the MVP vinaigrette was or what was in it and neither of them had any idea. This location is totally unacceptable and I won't spend...
