Went here on a Monday night, expected it to be packed as I've read on other reviews that they've been busy, but we were one of only two tables in use. So if you think you need a reservation, you don't.
The building has been updated and looks better than the previous restaurant did. The booths were handmade by the owner (I think), they look beautiful and are comfortable.
The staff was attentive and nice. I've read other reviews and many say the service is subpar, but I did not get that feeling at all. Likely just had a busy opening week and had some growing pains, but all seems fixed now. The waitress(es) made sure we had plenty of refills, and were always within earshot if we needed anything. 5/5 stars for service.
The food is where things start to deviate. First we got chips with guacamole, and I must not be a fan of guacamole as it didn't really have a taste to it. I had ordered a house salad, before asking what salad dressings they have...turns out they only have ranch and one other, both of which are flavors I do not enjoy...so be wary if you like only a specific kind of dressing (French dressing is the best!) The leaves of the lettuce were huge, making it difficult to get a proper size bite. One of the people I was with had got a burrito, but it was too spicy for them (they can't handle spice at all, it's not that hot for most people) so I traded them my salad for their burrito. The burrito was AMAZING, and only slightly spicy for me. I had also ordered a hamburger but didnt get to try it immediately, but I did warm it up the next day and it was also pretty good still! The fries it came with were AMAZING as well.
Some reviews mention cold food, and I can definitely see that being an issue as our food wasn't very warm. I'm not sure why this is a persistent issue, but hopefully it can be fixed. I personally don't care if my food isn't scorching hot, as I don't like to wait for it to cool down to eat it. But I also don't want frozen or cold food either. I feel like this is an easy fix with either some heat lamps, or just keeping it in a warmer staging area.
Overall, this place isn't bad. I probably wouldn't get another salad from them, but only because they don't have enough salad dressing choices. Maybe I should just start bringing salad dressing, hot sauce, and my brand of sugar since these seem to be key items that most...
Read moreWe tried this new restaurant around 9am on a Sunday. We weren't sure what to expect crowd wise. Don't let the seemingly packed parking lot fool you, there's plenty of space inside. The lot is just kinda small. We were seated right away in one of the comfy booths. Our waitress showed up quickly and took drink orders. There were several things on the menu that we wanted to try so it took us a minute to narrow it down. Ultimately we chose a Waffle combo and a French toast combo and swapped half of the waffle and toast with each other.
The coffee was nice and hot and we ordered some fresh squeezed orange juice. It was so good. Not overly sweet at all. Our food arrived in an acceptable time frame. Everything was hot, fresh and our eggs were cooked just like we had asked for. (Scrambled for one of us, over hard for the other). They must be using gigantic eggs because the portion we each got was large for 2 eggs. The bacon and sausage we ordered was tasty as well. The waffle was nice and crispy and the French toast was great as well.
The only issue we ran into is that once we were done eating it took a very long time for our server to come back. We were able to flag her down to get the bill so that we could pay. They do charge two different prices if it is cash or card so plan accordingly if you want to avoid a slight upcharge for using a card. All in all the food was good and we will definitely be back to try a few...
Read moreFood was alright, not great and not the worse. They don't have a kids menu, which is surprising since many restaurants have one. The prices are wayyy too expensive for breakfast food. I know the price of eggs are expensive right now, but in general, breakfast food shouldn't be soo expensive. However, my main issue is the service. Waited nearly an hour for our food, 50 minutes to be exact. Now, I'm always forgiving when it's a restaurant's opening weekend/week, I get it, they are still working out the kinks. But when I literally see multiple tables who were sat after us and then get their food before us is kinda messed up to be honest. It wasn't one or two, there were three tables I saw where people got sat after we did and then they got their food fairly quickly. I asked our server and she said she would ask the back. Then she came back and said another 5 to 10 minutes. Also, our waitress barely checked on us and didn't seem to care we were waiting so long. It's a shame, their other restaurant we have frequented many times without issues at all and there's been times their other restaurant is busier but we still get food on a timely manor. For right now, I probably won't got back. But maybe after a while I'll give them another try when stuff gets sorted out. We will see. This building seems to be unlucky when it comes to restaurants, I hope they last, but if it stays like this,...
