My last 2 visit have been met with horrible service and not great food. Unfortunately I had the misfortune of having Colleen as a server both times. The first time she was our server she took so long to greet our table we were ready to order by the time she finally came over...we should have left while we are waiting for her to come to our table after hearing the 3 tables close to us are talking about the lousy service and how the sever keeps disappearing...she finally come takes our order. After she brings our meal we don't see her again until after we are done eating and now all 4 of her tables are trying to find her for our bills. As the four tables are all talking about where does she keep disappering to. We all waited and talked about how between the service and the food being so-so a good 15 min later she finally appears to come check on us all. We all ask for boxes and checks and now we wait ad wait again another 10 min finally we were able to pay our bill and be on our way. Last night's visit was the worse we've ever had. We were seated at our table and than proceeded to wait and wait and wait. We watched what turned out to be our server walk by our table at least 10 times, clean off tables vacuum the floor, go out back, stand over by the kitchen laughing and talking. After 15-20 min as we are getting ready to leave because it's been so long and we've seen no one. She finally comes to our table and who is our server again but Colleen.. we all have off days and we figured our first experience with Colleen was just a bad day for her...nope we couldn't have been more wrong her service tonight was horrible then the 1st time. After keeping us waiting to even come to our table we finally order our food 45 min later we still haven't got our food. We watched the tables around us place orders and get their food and than leave while we are still waiting for ours. Colleen came and gave us an excuse of 2 big parties placed their orders before her. Well hmm we've watched 3 other tables place their orders. Get their food and leave AFTER we placed our order so yeah I don't think thats what really happened. We finally get our food sirloin tips and chicken tenders, my husband first bite off chicken has a huge bone in it not to mention it's was the some of the toughest chicken. There was several pieces of shrimp stuck to my chicken and also the toughest chicken. The steak was supposed to be well done but was still bleeding and let out a little moo when you cut into it. We were offered fresh plates but by then we've already been waiting over an hour now and don't want to wait another hour. My dinner and my husband was taking off the bill. But after the lousy food and horrible service we won't be back for a long time if ever. Especially since we left 99 starving so we went to Arby's Good food and great service there.. save yourself some money and head to Arby's...
Read moreI grew up in the beautiful state of Maine. My siblings are mostly grown and have moved away. Traditionally when we come to visit family we ALWAYS come to 99 for our favorite restaurant. This year was special and the front hosts ruined it. I called to make a reservation for 10 people. Was greeted on the phone by the host. I asked if I could make a reservation for 10 people at 12:30. She said yes. I thanked her and that was that. Half of my family gets there and we walk in at 12:25 saying we had a reservation. The host Emma proceeds to tell us it'll be 20 minute wait because they had to wait until the table was finished. The certified trainer... which I did not catch her name. A large dark brown curly haired woman.. Maybe Andrea? Comes out rude as can be and says we don't take reservations. That woman was so rude and how she got the title certified trainer is beyond me because her customer service was horrible. She made it seem like it was my fault. All she had to do was apologize and say that they made a mistake. Instead she proceeded to say we don't take reservations and you should have listened to the pre recorded audio. I told her I called and specifically ASKED if they took reservations and I was told we did. I don't have a problem with the whole miscommunication of reservation. I have an issue with the rudeness of the staff. Now my family and I have been coming to this 99 for YEARS. and this was the first time I have ever been treated with such poor service. Now the waitress Tully. PHENOMENAL. FANTASTIC. AMAZING. PERSONABLE. KIND. SWEET. DID AN ABSOLUTE SPECTACULAR JOB at serving my family. My brother comes back from the middle east and this meal today was very special. I thank Tully so much for making it perfect. The only reason i'm giving it a 4 star rating is because of Tully . She apologized for the front and my appreciation was reflected upon her gratuity. Kayla... i'm assuming another manager. Was the one to seat us and did so with an attitude. Never have I ever been treated with such rudeness here. I'm sorry but we might be looking for another 99 to go to if this happens again. Thank you Tully for your amazing service. The front, Kayla, and that large woman with a certified training badge on the other hand needed to refresh their skills on what customer service is. Read moreMe and my boyfriend tried to have a nice night out together and it ended in failure. First I was wearing a dress and I'm very short and the host sat me at a very high table which took absolutely for ever for me to get up into and get comfortable. We sat there for about 10 minutes and our server finally greeted us and I wish she hadn't. She was grumpy, and had no manners. me and my boyfriend order our drinks and she got them mixed up. I can't drink what he was having and I didn't know it wasn't mine. I had a brisk he had a sparkling lemonade or sorts. She left without asking if we wanted to take our orders. She came back once about 5 minutes later, we order then she left. I had already finished my drink (which was free refills) by then and she walked passed our table about 6 times without acknowledging my empty cup at the end of the table and by then my boyfriend was done his too. She stopped by to tell us our food was almost done (after around 40 minutes) and then almost proceeded to not get us refills. I had to stop her as she was walking away to get her to bring them to us. I told her again mine was the brisk and not to mix them up and she did... AGAIN. When we got our food, my boyfriends apple BBQ chicken sandwich was HARD as a rock, and his french fries were soggy, dark and clearly microwaved. My potpie was yummy but dry and too hot to eat during the entire duration we were sitting there and my mashed potatoes came out cold as ice. We asked for new fries but she brought out fries that looked literally the same and they were cold. I didn't get another refill, again. and by the time we left I was upset, and my boyfriend was very pissed. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because when I called the manager gave us a refund and was completely understanding.
