The staff was stand offish, weird the two women behind the counter , look directly at me and gave me what I viewed as nasty looks but didn’t say anything to us at all after being there for more than a few minutes . The store was empty and the only person that said anything was to my boyfriend (WM) to order. They worked pretty quickly, aside from the initial off putting interaction. More expensive than subway, the meat is a tiny amount if your use to eating subways or deli sandwiches in NYC. I personally wouldn’t come here again as a POC by myself. The energy felt negative but not like Cracker Barrel, I just got the vibe that I wasn’t welcomed there. I got the NY Steamer and my Boyfriend got the club on a sub. Both medium. We spent $23 on sandwiches alone, no drinks or chips. I tried my sandwich and it’s okay for a quick thing. The bread was very soggy with the meat grease. If you’re use to true hero bread, you feel the difference in the texture. The mustard isn’t spicy or super present in the sandwich. They put a literally straight line of mustard in the center of the bread(photo attached ). The mayo on my bf sandwich was on both the top and the bottom with healthy amount on both ends. My boyfriend LOVED THE CLUB ON THE SUB. I tried some and it was a better sandwich over all combination wise. He tried mine and had the same review I did.

🥪 What We Ordered: Caribbean Jerk Turkey (on garlic bread) The Engineer 💬 My Experience: We stopped by Firehouse Subs for a quick lunch while on the road. As always, their subs are top-notch. My son ordered the Caribbean Jerk Turkey on garlic bread, which was a great touch, and I had The Engineer, both sandwiches were flavorful and satisfying. That said, I was a bit surprised at the total, over $30 for two sandwich meals. I don’t eat fast food often, so the price point caught me off guard. It felt more like sit-down restaurant pricing, though the quality was definitely solid. One thing I wish restaurants would do differently is provide more transparency when asking customers to round up for a charity or donate at the point of sale. It’s not always clear what the cause is or where the money goes, and the added tip prompt for fast food service can also feel a bit misplaced. 🏆 Highlight: High-quality sandwiches with great flavor combinations 📍 Would I Return? Yes, Firehouse continues to be one of the better sandwich shops out there, even with a few small concerns.

This Firehouse is in the top tier of the firehouses I have visited. The crew was serious paid attention to detail and appeared to like their work. The restaurant was clean and in general cheerful. I always order a special sandwich the same one at every Firehouse this location managed to make it exactly like I asked Good job!

Two for two terrible visits, so that's enough to give up. First time we visited there was a younger looking girl working behind the counter and an older woman cleaning up the shelves on the customer side of the counter. They looked at us when we came in but never responded to our greeting and never went to the register. The only person to say anything to us was a guy that was cleaning the drink machine on the other side of the store. He came over and took our order, then the two ladies made our sandwiches while looking all sorts of miserable. We filled out a survey about it. Against my better judgement, I went back a few weeks later and placed an online order for myself. The sandwich was a disaster and literally half of my requested ingredients were missing. Sometimes you can pretend the customer service doesn't matter as long as the quality of what you're getting is great. This is not that scenario. It's expensive for what you get, or...
