Jason's NY Pizza - Topsham — Restaurant in Topsham

I called‐in, and ordered two 'traditional' pizzas: One 18" Pepperoni/mushroom, and one 14" 'veggie,' a mac N cheese, for our picky–eater friend, as well as (plain) garlic‐breadsticks. The woman on the phone was extremely pleasant to me and explained that the wait time was an hour-and-a-half ... (they just recently opened this location, so they're EXTREMELY BUSY) I anticipated this and was totally‐okay with it. Unfortunately, I can't speak on temperature or freshness (the ingredients were obviously fresh) as we live 15± minutes away – Brunswick, close to West Bath. I did, however, ask for my pizza to be well‐done, and she listened, it was cooked perfectly ... unlike a couple of other [mostly chains] that ignore your requests‐altogether or burn it ... (I prefer being ignored) My daughter really enjoyed her veggie pizza, which looked amazing to me. Now, Mr. Picky, he got "The Standard" (Mac & Cheese) – which he immediately scarfed up ⅔ of (FAMILY‐SIZE, mind you) before I got through one slice ... midway through, he said: "There's no way I am going to be able to finish this." 😆 The breadsticks were very soft, warm & tasty. Each order came with a little covered ramakin of tomato dipping‐sauce. Our next visit, we will be trying some of the stuffed variety, as they offer a myriad of choices, — even a build‐your‐own. I'd imagine wait times will remain high for a while ... many people are eager to try their NY‐style pizza for the first time.

I would really like to try dining‐in, so I may try it piping‐hot ...that—is the best way to have it, after all.

Edited since I’ve been in again since posting this review: customer service has tanked. I was picking up an order, was told “it’s in the oven, just a couple minutes”.

Almost 10 minutes go by, I see the employee in the back putting my order in the oven. When I confronted her about it, she argued with me back and forth, telling me they have to do this (?) wasn’t even sure what she was talking about. She outright lied to me when originally telling me how long. She hadn’t even put it in the oven when she told me she did! 10 minutes go by between her saying she did and actually doing so! My “couple more minutes”ended up being 25+!! I will not be returning, too many negatives at this point.

Have to agree with another review about the self serve, single slices they offer. Pizza was VERY flimsy, borderline undercooked, and that is merely because it’s been sitting in grease. The utensils they offer are inconvenient, almost dropping my slice trying to get it. No counter space to set stuff down while you grab your pizza. Nowhere to wash hands.

Their full sized pizzas and salad look great so I will give the place one more shot, but will be avoiding the by the slice part until that’s changed.

I can say the staff is very friendly and are doing very well given how busy they are right now. It takes a lot to stay composed under pressure and that’s why I left 5 stars for service.

All in all, they need to readdress their “by the slice” option… better ways to go about it for fresher pizza. $5 for a slice of pizza that’s been sitting, super flimsy really sucks. I didn’t even finish it before it went...

I have had an opportunity to place large orders and small orders. Every item that we tried was fresh and delicious. Our family has tried pizza by the slice. Slices are huge and were great. The buffalo chicken is a favorite. My all time favorite is the broccoli, chicken Alfredo pizza. We have had, pepperoni, cheese, and margherita pizza… all excellent choices and all flavorful. Next up was turkey BLT was huge and delicious. Enjoyed that very much. Then I tried their buffalo chicken wrap… excellent sandwich. Next up, tried Maui breadsticks and garlic sticks, soooo good! Then we stopped in for a quick pick up for lunch and we ordered a chicken Caesar salad, it was huge… it fed the two of us and it was delicious, we did ask for extra dressing because we were splitting it up.

They were slammed every time we stopped in and I will say as overwhelming it was for me however the staff was friendly and each customer was greeted with a smile and thanked each one for their patience and for coming in. I will end my review with my dessert purchase…if ever you are there and there are whoopies on the shelf… you must try them… they are absolutely incredible. I had maple walnut and it was amazing! I believe I clicked how much I spent, didn’t realize it was per person… I did my total purchase at visits. I feed a lot of people in my family! Most items are between...
