Fantastic Cafe — Restaurant in Torrance

I stopped by here because my friend told me the Pastrami was similar to Johnnies in Culver City. The Pastrami was good and moist but some of the meat was cut with the grain so it was chewy. The sandwich has a lot of meat in it and topped with mustard and pickles.the combo fries,drink cost under $10 at Johnnies it would of cost double maybe more. It was worth trying if you want Pastrami but I'll stick to a hamburger next time. Also I placed my order and sat down waited and watched as people after me got their food and left. After 15 mins I asked about my food and they had put it in a bag as a pick up order so it was sitting on the counter all this time. She could of atleast apologized for the mix up and wait. No big deal since Steve's is on 182nd and Fabulous burgers is on Gardena blvd there...

This place was SO DIRTY when I ate there, food and spilled drinks all over the floor and tables full of crumbs and grease. Had to wait until my food almost came out before a worker decided to halfway clean ONE of the tables in the restaurant and leaving all the rest still dirty. I had to clean my own table before I ate - I can't imagine how they must take care of their kitchen. Also I wasn't sure what I wanted and the girl taking my order had an attitude with me about it, that must be part of the fantastic they're talking about. Stopped in here after checking into our hotel room. It closes at 10:00 pm on Saturday but the drive thru continues till 11:00 pm.

Since it was my first time there, l asked the counter person what her recommendations were; she noted that it was know for it's burgers, so naturally... burgers it was!

They offer two size patties: ¼ and ½ pounders. I had the smaller version with cheese and a side of fries. The patties are larger diameter than normal but quite thin thickness wise.

The meal way enjoyable though nothing that could be called special or memorable. But for the price of about $7.00 for the combo, it was pretty decent.
