Rascals Teriyaki Grill — Restaurant in Torrance

I am a fan of the Gardena location, it has been great every time and the people are generous and kind. HOWEVER, the Torrance location is absolutely terrible. The service was very poor, with many rude employees. No one was helpful. The food was low quality, old, and overall, atrocious. I spent plenty money, and it was the worst food I have ever had in my life. The chicken was old, rubbery, smelly, and not edible. The beef was unexplainable, and had a weird flavor that spread on all of the rice. The salad was soggy and disgusting. I even attempted to try the burger and pastrami sandwich. ABSOLUTELY disgusting. The meats on both tasted like microwaved frozen food. I would honestly not even feed my dogs this food, it is nasty. The worst food ever, and trust me, I am not picky at all, but this was UNACCEPTABLE, and most likely SPOILED. Don’t EVER go here!!!!!!! I am hoping the food inspectors visit them to check out the place, this genuinely seems unsafe and should not be serving...

I found myself in Torrance today around lunch time and happened upon Rascals . Having read the other reviews before I went here, I decided to get the teriyaki plate with everything so that I could try the chicken salad and the teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken. I'm glad I did because it was all really good! The salad was just okay until I discovered the walnuts and strips of bread? that they put in for me to mix in the salad, game changer! Yum! And the dressing was very good too! It was a huge meal , I had to save half of it for dinner and was $11.50 or approximately $5.75 for two complete meals since I could only eat half at a time! friendly front counter service and the food came out super fast, I will be back when I have more time to sit...

This Torrance location was a huge disappointment. I had tried Gardena before and it wasn’t too bad. I thought I’d bring my family here & every item, pastrami, sandwich, cheeseburger, chicken breast teriyaki, the combo plate (the meat was 100%) spoiled) so old and smelly. I felt so disgusting. Just hope we don’t get sick. To top it off I tried to bring my dissatisfaction to the attention of a manager and although there was two older ladies there they both denied that they were not managers.
