This place really needs to learn how to have better customer service. Clearly they do not know how to run a business and need to teach all their workers how to have good customer service and patience. Also, I have ate here before and the place is very over hyped and food quality is below average. I will no longer ever go here. I was placing an order with them, and Because I was asking questions about what their special was. The first person on the phone got frustrated and said hold on one second, then said to someone else “ I need someone to take her order. I can’t deal with this. “ so rude, even the second person I spoke to seemed to be frustrated as well. If you hate your job.. that’s not your customers problem or fault. Then when I asked to speak to a manager… Angie came on the line. Whether she was a manager or owner I told her my concerns about how rude her worker was and she proceeded to not care and basically just said thank you for letting us know. Her response should have been… I’m so sorry about that, it is never our intention to make a customer feel anything , that isn’t good. I appreciate how you feel and I will talk to her about this and trust me this will never happen again. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. And again my deepest sincerest apologies. This response instead of what she said showing she cares is the reason why I never would have wrote a bad review. So I hope this will serve as a lesson to this...
Read moreDon't let the appearance of this retro shopping plaza deter you from one of the best breakfasts you could ever have. The inside seating arrangement is casual old school with booths, tables and countertops. Angie's is eclectically decorated with memorabilia and regulars who cheer for contestants on "the price is right". The menu is your basic breakfast and lunch staples with a blackboard of daily specials. I ordered a veggie omelette and my husband ordered pancakes. My omelette was perfect. It was packed with fresh vegetables none of which were soggy or had that 'day old' feel. The home fries were crispy, hot and seasoned perfectly. The pancakes were so good alone all they needed was a plop of butter, the syrup wasn't even necessary. I highly recommend Angie's and if I ever find myself in Torrington again I will...
Read moreI went to have some breakfast and yes I was alone. I sat at a booth and was told the booths are reserved for larger parties and would I move to the bar/counter. I told the waitress that I was uncomfortable with that and would prefer to sit where I was. She went into the kitchen and told people and now they are coming to the door between the kitchen and dining area and staring at me, now that doesn’t make me comfortable either. If you are single I guess you have to sit at the counter in the middle of the the dining area and have other patrons watching you have your meal. Mind you there is no sign stating that booths are reserved for larger parties. I highly recommend you find a better establishment to eat at, where the staff...
