Update: The machine originally sold to me was fine until I installed my preferred internet browser and preferred security system. You should be able to set up your personal machine how you would like it without it freaking out.
Brought back to tech to fix repeating key "x" repeating problem, tech updated system said he fixed it. Brought it to the library and it was not fixed. Brought it back the next day (3 visits total now) after speaking with the owner over the phone. He spent the entire time talking over me and talking down to me about how I shouldn't have made any changes and it's clearly my fault that this "$2000 machine" isn't working. The only reason I did not put down to 1 star is because he did trade me a new identical machine to resolve the issue.
But then he called me "a very paranoid individual" when I asked for a receipt with a new date for the machine trade. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to just sit down and try to figure out a problem together rather than pointing fingers and condescending like it's somebody's fault. Unfortunate experience I hope that the owner can retire soon and someone with more rapport for speaking with people can take his place.
Older review--------- Good experience, owner is very nice to talk to and knowledgeable. Refurbished computer he sold me was reasonably priced and seems to be working well. Only knocked off a star because he started peeling stickers off my own personal laptop I had brought in to ask about fixing without asking me first. Read moreWOW !! What an eye opening experience. Previously had work done on my old computer and was very satisfied. Needed a new one and purchased it along with a new monitor and Trend Micro software. $1,000 +/-) Almost immediately I was getting pup-ups. After about 2 months they became pornographic. I called and explained and was told (by Greg) there would be no charge. Brought the computer to the shop. Few hours later told it was ready. Went to pick it up. Nice young man couldn't find it, so I helped him. I was told there was a charge. He called the owner (Mike) and he immediately came over. Most arrogant, self serving individual I have ever met (and I am over 70). I was told he had to charge for 15 min. Also told I, or someone in my house , or Adobe, or the cable company (anyone) caused the problem. I did become upset from being spoken to in such a manner (extremely rude). "I've been doing this for 20 years". Wow, but you couldn't pull up my bill. Finally after being insulted, demeaned and frustrated, I just put down cash, took my computer and left. Read moreI have been going here for every major thing related to computers in the past 10 years. I just recently acquired a new high end custom PC build through them and they answered the dozen questions I had regarding decisions and part picking. They even let me make last second adjustments to my order and worked with me over a couple weeks to plan and order everything accordingly. I felt listened to, given proper recommendations without bells and whistles, and was even given recommendations and ways to improve my workflow. I tell everyone I meet that this is my favorite place and not afraid to make it known to all who have computer problems or need solutions. I waited a while after using the new PC they built me and it runs beautifully with no problems after a month.
