LITTLE GREEK — Restaurant in Totowa

Stopped in here for lunch after working nearby. The place was cute and I was looking forward to the food. We approached and saw a gentleman seated outside and asked if it was ok to sit outside. He said yes, came to our table and after some wait provided menus. There was noone else here. we had a long wait for him to return to take the drink orders and another long wait for the food. When it came i was disappointed in the fries which were cold and hard but my wrap was delicious. Not to mention he got my order wrong, but I was willing to overlook that. My friends however ordered the meat platter and while everything else was okay, their gyro meat smelled! When they let the gentleman (we later found out was the owner) know, he denied it was spoilt. We even stopped a random guy walking guy who said he wouldn't eat that meat! I am not one to leave a negative review, if it isn't to my liking I keep it moving but this needs to be known since this is a health hazard. Instead of apologizing and acknowledging the issues with the food, which was clear the owner doubled down and accused us of not knowing Greek food and that the establishment was a take out place and that we needed to approach the counter and make the order, take our own food outside to eat. THAT really upset me. Because we approached and asked before sitting down. If that was the way your establishment operated, just let us know, we had no problem and neither did the owner until we let him know (politely so) that there was issues with the food suddenly everything else was an issue. The meat was spoilt and not eaten... Horrible service. Would not...

I really wanted to like this place bc the staff was nice upon picking up my lunch. But the food wasn’t good at all. Either they forgot to put the salad dressing on the Greek salad or their dressing is just bland. I felt like I was eating veggies without any flavor.

The Greek fries were just frozen crinkle cut fries with feta. No seasoning or flavor.

The tzatziki was basically a cold soup. It was extremely watery and even spilled when i tried pouring some into a bowl. Not sure why they included a piece of bread (which was hard and stale) when there was no use for the bread since it was cold soup basically. This was definitely not a dipping appetizer.

I spent $26+ on this order and it was a complete waste.

Was in the area with my son and we were both in the mood for kebabs. So we did a Google search and this place came up. Man what an awesome find! The owner/chef is a great guy, friendly and obviously (and rightfully) proud of his business. The food just knocks it out of the park. Everything is fresh and expertly cooked. The plating is paid attention to and the food looks almost as good as it tastes (the taste is just out of this world). Portions are enough to fill you without overstuffing yourself and it’s all high quality. It’s not a big place, indoor seating is limited to a counter and one small table and there are 3-4 outside tables so I could see it filling up fast but they do offer takeout so you can always get it to go. I’d go there...
