There was only one waitress when we arrived at 12 noon on 2/21/2017. We both ordered the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp spring roll. The food took quite awhile to come out and a group of 6 businessmen who arrived after us were served first. The wonton soup was bland and had no flavor, neither did the hot tea. The mustard sauce was watery and dripped from the fried noodles. The shrimp were translucent and raw and the fried rice had no flavor, so we had to pour several packets of soy sauce onto it. The waitress never returned after serving our entrees to inquire if we were satisfied or needed anything else. After approximately 20 minutes, she finally materialized and we asked why there were no bean sprouts in the fried rice to which she replied that they don't customarily put bean sprouts in their fried rice. After requesting bean sprouts several times, the waitress finally agreed to send one of the plates back to the kitchen so bean sprouts could be added to it by the chef. After the only waitress placed the bill on the table, I informed her that the shrimp were raw and that the fried rice was tasteless. She then began to argue with me and stated that the cook had boiled the shrimp twice. I informed her that cooked shrimp are opaque and have reddish markings, they are not translucent and mushy. The waitress never apologized for the bad food, instead she argued loudly and persistently and began stating that they have been in business for 10 years and have happy customers. It was obvious that she wanted to provoke an argument and didn't value me as a customer, although this was my very first time in this restaurant. In view of her blatant hostility and abrasiveness, I have no intention of ever visiting this restaurant again! Restaurant owners, managers and employees should treat customers with respect, courtesy and professionalism, not with disdain and aggression. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant if you expect to receive good...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering from Kowloon. I did a quick Google search for Singapore Noodles (because I had a hankering).
Anyhoo, Kowloon offered to customize my noodles (w/o pork) and it was delicious with tender slices of chicken and large shrimp on curried noodles đ¤¤. I also ordered vegetable lo mein, because who doesnât order lo mein or fried rice when they order Asian food. Probably plenty people but, I digressâŚ
The Singapore & lo mein hit the spot but the sesame chicken was fried so hard it tasted like straw. Hey, you ever heard that song by Sugar Hill Gang? Well, âthat chicken tasted like wood.â I was sooo disappointed by that.
âď¸Service was quick.
âď¸ Reasonably priced
âď¸They can customize orders
đ Most of my order was edible. (Maybe âfried chickenâ isnât their forte or the cook was having a rough fried chicken night)
âď¸ It is...
Read moreWe have eaten here many times and had given it the title of our favorite Chinese food place. Now we will never order from here ever again. They got our order wrong and when the guy brought us our missing food I opened the door to get it and he says to me â you donât tip?â My response was âexcuse me? I did tip youâ he goes on to say that it wasnât on the slip and argued back and forth with me. Of course I called and made sure he was getting his tip but this actually wasnât the first time he has questioned us about his tip. I paid online and manually put in a tip for the driver. If you do decide to order from here and tip on a credit card make sure your driver gets his tip. On top of all of that , there was a human hair in the missing food they brought us. After all that we couldnât even eat it. Iâm extremely disappointed, order your food here...
