I can only be honest about MY experience here. I've gone about 3 times to this park, and each time, it's been an emotional hardship being there.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I've gone to this park someone calls the police on me!! Every single time...I just stopped going to avoid any issues.
I went 2 separate times with friends of mine for example. We're all in our mid 30's and not to mention, both of them had their toddler sons with them. Each time the police officer rode their vehicles up to the tennis and basketball court and just started starring at us, as to make their "presence felt". Another officer was on foot and came out of the woods on the trail and walked toward me and my friend & nephews and just starred at us; nobody else in the park...just us 3.
After they just sat there watching us shoot some hoops and talk, they left like nothing ever occurred.
It was humiliating, frustrating and tiring, as a 30 year old Black Man to be treated that way. There were unsupervised children running around of Non-Black decent and not a single concern from the officers or residents.
The other time they pulled up in the parking lot and parked facing us in a close spot and just starred at us as we chatted in the lot. I could see the officers looking directly at us each time, I was wondering during if we violated some sort of Park Rules that I didn't know about how they were acting, it was pretty messed up.
This is a sad world that we live in at times, but it won't deter me nonetheless. God sees...

Over the summer on Saturdays they had a beer tent and a snack bar. Also the restrooms at the playground and party rental area are finished so no more porto...
