In the age where everything revolves around the smashburger, Fat Stu's reminds us that a classic un-smashed burger is still unmatched. Joe and I came here on a suggestion from his sister so we stopped in on a quiet Friday afternoon.

Fat Stu's is quaint and homey, with the classic 50s diner-style theme. There was also plenty of fun Westchester memorabilia mixed in with the other fun decorations. & even though small, they still had booster seats which was great because we bought our little guy along with us.

I ordered the Swiss onion burger, onion rings and vanilla shake while Joe ordered a classic cheeseburger with American cheese and loaded tater tots, minus the bacon. Guys, the food was GREAT. The burgers were cooked perfectly; no need to request a temp because the size is just perfect and they are served on a perfectly toasted potato bun. Let me say this: the burger was so good that Joe ordered a second one take home for later!

My only critiques would be for the tots and my shake. The cheese wasn't completely melted so just a couple more minutes in the oven would've been exactly what they needed. As for the shake, a little less milk. (Expert tip: a little squirt of caramel sauce can take your vanilla shake up a notch-Joe used to work at cold stone back in the day ).

Will we be...

Stop reading this and go eat a burger!

Wait, you’re still reading?! Alright, I can respect that. Either you’re not hungry or I wasn’t adequately convincing. I can’t do much about the former, but I can sure handle the latter! Here are the highlights: delicious burgers (the potato buns alone are worth the price of admission!), incredible, generously proportioned sides (seriously, these aren’t some frozen, run-of-the-mill potato products, these are the real deal! The sweet potato fries were perfect and the onion rings came with a garlic aioli so good I may leave my wife and look into whether I can legally marry a condiment), and - the only disappointment - a surprisingly trim owner named (you guessed it) Stu.

Don’t worry, though. What he lacks in heft, he makes up for in friendliness. He generously offered to give me a beer on the house, but I had to decline! I couldn’t do that to a new mom n’ pop shop! I’m newer to Harrison, but I’m so glad he’s here. Hopefully they’ll be many more burgers and beers in my future!

Hope that was convincing enough! Now go...

I just finished dining at Fat Stu's. I don't eat beef often but I have had this yearning lately. I didn't want just any burger I wanted a real burger. I searched and Fat Stu's stood out for me. When I walked in I was back in my youth! The entire place is done so tastefully. The decor is retro and perfectly sone. The owner greeted me warmly, gave me the special even though arrived 15 minuted after the specified time.I told him that my birthday is Wednesday and that he had just given me a gift. Some customers came in and he gave them a discount and they gave me the $5 tip. John wouldn't even take the tip that I offered him. He told 2 other customers that were eating that it's my birthday. Wait!! The food!! Real beef burger, real french fries and the milk shake was better than anything that I had lately!! The food is made to order. No fast food here. John even shared the history of the restaurant. Do yourself a huge favor!! Go visit this establishment. You won't be disappointed! Thank you John. It was a pleasure to meet you. I will definitely...

Fat Stu's in Harrison, the Flaghship..... 5 stars all the way around!!!!! FOOD: takes all of that burger hankering away! I ordered the stu burger with the vermont chedda, so good!!!! my son ate not one, but TWO cheeseburgers they were that good... we also had an order of fries, BOMB!!! the menu is simple which is a plus, and the bonus is he offers; bean, veggie, & turkey burgers as well... in addition to chicken wings and flatbread pizza's.... SCORE!!!! *** also some alcohol options, nothing crazy... SERVICE: fast & served by stu himself! what a welcoming friendly man who made sure you were topped off & full. ATMOSPHERE: i was greeted by Elvis Presley, what more could you ask for, ;) .... seriously though, the atmosphere was a vibe... the decor was fun artsy and creative.... the floor was laid with 59,000 pennies!!! the coolest floor i have seen in person!!! the playlist was also just right.... Fat Stu's is doing it all RIGHT!!!! Thank you for such a great lunch, we will be back!!!!! <3 FOOD IS LOVE <3!!!!

Perhaps its because its not the Harrison location, never been, but I was disappointed. My burger had no flavor, was expecting some seasoning, my onion rings were half burnt, unless thats the norm. The buffalo chicken flatbread, no buffalo just chicken and cheese on some flatbread. Was expecting some. It of heat. I didnt take a picture of my flatbread bc i had to reheat my food once i got home. I literally live 5 minutes away from your new spot, food shouldn’t be cold. The wings, you think you would get the pair of the actual wings right, nope! I got 1 drum and 5 wingettes or whatever you call them and even that, no flavor on the chicken just the taste of sauce. The place wasnt even packed for me to think it was a rushed order when I went to pick up my food. My sweet potato fries were the best thing in my order. I guess Ill try the one in Harrison in hopes its better but not too sure.

Just tried the new local burger joint in town and it did not disappoint! The burgers (many different choices) were incredibly fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor. What really set them apart was their house sauce (Stu sauce) — seriously addictive. You can tell they put real care into the ingredients. It’s also super family-friendly, with a warm and welcoming vibe. The decor is amazing — unique and full of personality. The floors are literally made of pennies, which adds such a cool touch and makes the whole place feel special. If you’re looking for great food and a fun atmosphere, this place is a must-visit for locals in Greenwich and Port Chester!
