Lovely setting that was very comfortable and rustic. Inside is a timber framed structure with very interesting features. Dry-aged beef is displayed to the diners near the entrance. Cocktails were interesting and good quality. Main portions of the meal were cooked as requested with good attention. Steaks all around were delivered with proper doneness. The sourdough bread is delicious. There were small cracks in certain aspects of the meal. Small things such as sides weren't quite as good as the main dishes. Two people in our group had the dry aged burger, but got garlic fries that were overly salty and not crispy or particularly hot. Another two got the chocolate mousse for dessert, and there were significant differences in flavor and texture between them. One being much more bitter than the other and more liquid than fluffy and subtle. The burgers didn't quite have the flavor of a 65-day aged beef as one would expect, missingt hat tanginess one would expect. It was still a good hamburger, but not uniquely something all it's own. I believe this place is still relatively new, so there are likely some little things still to work out. The staff were attentive and helpful, and that's really what you're paying for as there are a million places with unique takes on this type of dining. The quality is high here, and you'll pay for it. But my first impression is that they have the quality in their offerings to make it worth the money, and the staff to help you enjoy it even with a few of the finer details lacking. I anticipate that they'll dial this in and will continue to be a quality place to dine. In the area they operate, the bar will...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the service. Arrived early attempted to get cocktails at the bar. Seating was a hassle as the bartender was directing people where to sit at the bar. He seemed put out that he had to wait on us. The bartender disappeared from the bar and we went to the hostess to inquire If he was coming back, to the bar as we would like to purchase cocktails, the hostess immediately went to find him. He came out of the kitchen to the bar and said I’m back Unfortunately, he had barbecue sauce on his face. We were finally able to order a cocktail and then we were told our table was ready. once we got to our table we attempted to order additional cocktails and waited over 25 minutes and they still did not arrive. The waitress had attitude and made it very clear that the rules were the rules with no exceptions while we were attempting to place our order. The waitress explained to us that she was somewhat jaded because she had been waiting tables for a long time and therefore was very strict and seemed condescending . We placed our order only for her to return and state a menu item was not available. I would think a restaurant with a reputation in caliber is this that the weight staff would be aware of what was available before they offered it to patrons. It became increasingly clear to us that this was just not going to be a good experience. We canceled our order and left the restaurant. We will not be going back. Unfortunately, we did not get to try any of the food so I’m not able to comment on that. We were very excited to try this new place but unfortunately the staff and service...

What a delightful little find off Clayton! I met a friend there for dinner and drinks, and was surprised to find such a well designed, chic place with an amazing patio overlooking a a beautifully landscape park and pond at the Town Square in Town and Country. The patio is shared with Wild Crush and makes for the perfect setting for a funny afternoon gathering, a calm and delicious evening meal, after work drinks. I actually think the spot is so well put together you could easily use it for a large group gathering, but you'd have to call about reservation size or rental. They also have a large narthex/vestibule for waiting that also protects from major temperature changes in the main dining area, another example of their intentional design.
But on to the meat of it...C&C is on the pricer end, but you pay for quality and creativity, and it's 100% deliciously worth it. My group enjoyed two of the entree specials, short ribs and scallops, and shared the bread (fresh and so delicious with some amazing butter, I know, I know, butter is already good, but they made it better) and broccolini (that herb ricotta was delicious), and we all took home an order of the ricotta gnocchi (my mouth is watering now thinking about it).
While I'm sure this is delightful in the summer, go check it out while the weather is beautiful and you can enjoy a peaceful view with a...
