Usually I have a fair experience. Typically a very long line, so I always order ahead. I'm there several times a week, so would think they'd recognize me by now. Today it was pouring rain. There were no parking spots. I had ordered ahead, or so I thought, my usual order. Parked in a non-parking spot because they next one was really far away and thought I'd just be running in, grabbing my order, and running out like always. Instead there was nothing, but about 10 people waiting. So I stood by the door watching my car, with my son inside, antsy to get back to my illegally parked car and my child, and to get him to school and me to work. Finally after everyone had been served and I was still standing there (which they easily could see and could have said, "we know you order here everyday by mobile but just so you know there's a problem today and we don't have your order") I asked if they'd gotten my order. She responded that the mobile app wasn't working and my order would have gone to another store. By this point I'm getting very upset because they clearly saw me just standing there for 10 minutes and said nothing (again knowing I have the same routine everyday). Three workers who see me at least 3-5 times a week. I explained the situation and her response was that it would have gotten sent to another store and they would have sent a message. I explained I didn't even have my phone because the app made it seem like it went through like it did everyday and I thought I was just running in and out. She said all they can do is just make the order now for me, they couldn't refund me or anything. Fair enough, but at this point I've left my car illegally parked and my son in it for 10 minutes and knew now I had to wait for my order to actually be completed, so ran back out to wait with him, again through the pouring rain. Then ran back inside after 5 more minutes. I ruined my suede Kate Spade shoes running through the downpour 4 times, felt anxious the entire time, and was very late for work and school at this point. The coffee maker was incredibly rude, uncaring, and just acted like the only thing that mattered was them and their difficulties. I expected so much more from Starbucks. Like I said, they know me, and perhaps if they saw the same person they see almost daily who orders via mobile, just standing at the door looking back at her car every 3 seconds, knowing there were no more orders to fill, they could have said SOMETHING so I didn't feel like a fool wasting my time. And my suede Kate Spade shoes. Essentially this coffee run just cost me about $100 of ruined beautiful magenta suede shoes and all they cared about was being rude to me and worrying about themselves and how bad...
Read moreStarbucks doesn't sell coffee, at least not at this location. My second visit to this location and I ordered a cup of coffee (like you would in a coffee shop) to be told again that they don't have regular coffee, only an Americano which is made with espresso. I don't like your espresso, you guys burn the beans. I just wanted a regular cup of coffee. So maybe change you signs to read ESPRESSO ONLY and stop saying you are a coffee shop!
Follow up: after a little online investigation, they don’t seem to even offer regular drip coffee although it is on the online and physical menu and they steer you to the Americano which is more expensive. This IS the definition of bait and switch! I am filing a complaint...
Read moreWe got our drinks right away, which was great. We had also ordered a chocolate croissant, which I asked not to be heated and iced lemon loaf. After a 5 minute wait after we had received my drink I still had not received my food. I asked the cashier if I could get my items because nothing needed to be heated. He was very short and said I had to wait because the order was in the machine??? Finally received my food and the croissant was heated, which I didn't want. No concern regarding my needs or how long I was waiting for food that could have been handed in in 3 minutes. Love the food but not worth the $$$ or time...
