We havenât been here other than the drive in which we love, for a meal in quite some time and I now remember why. The specials offered chicken cordon bleu with garlic potatoes and veg for $15.95 and my husband ordered barbecued chicken for $13.95. We ordered Harney Tea in a pot which came in a mug with a spoon in it, diner style. Nice silken sachet too! The BBQ chicken was tasty but the steak fries were greasy and the coleslaw bland. My cordon bleu was broccoli and cheese and the waiter tried to tell me that was the way stuffed chicken comes! I had to remind him that the special menu read cordon bleu .The vegetables were almost raw hard and the tablespoon of potatoes disappointing. He begrudgingly re-ordered the cordon bleu which was just a premade packaged limp thing served on a bread plate well after my husband was finished. Such a waste of time and money and appetite. No apology although the owner was sitting there the entire time, and no offer of consideration with a dessert or a second cup of tea. We wonât return and should know better - these items wouldnât be Greek specialties and our waiter was not well informed or well trained, although personable. Weâve had good meals and good service at the Millerton and Gt Barrington...
Read moreIve been enjoying 4 bros for many years. Always had a great meal until today. Ordered the greek salad as always and for a change, I ordered the alla vodka. The lettuce in the salad was old. It was brown and unappetizing to say the least. I mentioned it to the waiter who said it looked bad to him too, as he walked away. No offer to replace it. The alla vodka smelled exactly like beefaroni I ate as a kid, and I ordered it with shrimp. I lifted a forkful of pasta and shrimp and put it in my mouth. They left the tails on the shrimp!! Really?? You couldnt take the tails off of 6 large shrimp??!! I honestly am stunned by my meal and not in a good way. I seriously love the pizza, best anywhere. And, always loved the greek salad. What happened to you? The bagged lettuce has to go! Your cook staff needs to pay attention to details, like taking the tails off the shrimp served in a sauced pasta dish. Youve become complacent with your popularity. Im so disappointed. You've sold out to convenience and the fast food mentality. What a shame! You used to take pride in serving terrific fresh food. I guess it had to happen, eventually all good things...
Read moreSince this place is in the middle of nowhere for me, I've only been here a hand-full of in the past 8 years when going on the Christmas day Vermont ski trip. It's a tradition to stop by this place on the way up or returning to grab dinner with some antipasta, mozzarella sticks, and a pizza pie.
Just last week, we were here completely exhausted from a long ski day, and the smell of brick oven pizza made the whole family wake up. As my friend's Dad puts it, this is the best worst thing for you. Even the plain slices taste great without any additions, but it is surely a once-in-a-while treat. I'd probably gain too much weight and get clogged arteries - thus is the result of most delicious food. Plus - everything tastes better after hours of driving and skiing.
The restaurant itself looks fantastic. The walls are painted to give it an old Roman ruins type of feeling. The lighting makes me feel like everything is yellow-ish tan (which summarizes parts of Italy very well). The staff is attentive and extremely nice - great pizza and even better company. This place will always be a classic and always...
