Break'n Eggs Express — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

I came in with one other person on a Sunday afternoon at 12pm. We came in and waited at the hostess stand to be seated. After waiting for about 10 or so minutes with no hostess in sight we asked a couple waiting next to us if there was a wait. They said they were told there was no table for them and they had been waiting for about 20 minutes. We continued to wait in hopes a hostess would be there soon to let us know about a wait time, when she did she had asked us where we would like to sit and we chose outside. She came back in from checking outside and let us know she didn't have an outside table but she would clean a table for us inside. We reluctantly agreed (due to how warm and stuffy it was inside) but continued to wait for our table. We were then sat next to a table we had seen sitting with menus since before we had gotten there. We figured out what we were going to eat and waited a while with no sight of a server. Every staff member was running around like a chicken with their head cut off and we did not want to add to that by bothering them with our confusion on the service. After a while longer of waiting we decided to leave our menus at the table and leave. I was truly disappointed in the lack of attention and the good amount of confusion we had experienced this visit. I have eaten here 2-3 times in house and have had wonderful experiences with the service and food. Today I had placed an order for pickup and the service I received was subpar at best at the pickup window. I had ordered a creme brulee cappuccino but wasn’t asked if I wanted it iced or hot. I always get it iced but I guess the woman assumed I wanted it hot. After expressing I wanted it iced she expressed you have to specify when ordering but since I didn’t she just assumed I wanted it hot. After remaking it for me the coffee was disgusting to put it nicely. She did not put ice nor did she add sweeteners and left the coffee very bitter in taste, not at all how it tasted when I would eat in house. She made it very quickly with no regard for how it may taste. I could feel her attitude and dismissive nature but I chose to ignore it but I am not satisfied with the coffee I was given and it’s unfortunate because I had to go all the way home to find this out. I could’ve specified I wanted it more sweet but I always have this coffee and when it’s made in house it is perfect. I know this isn’t how it’s supposed to look as this coffee is so dark in comparison to what I would get in house. It...

We dined outside for lunch and the atmosphere felt like we were in the streets of some far out country. The umbrellas kept us shaded and cool, the tables were set up nicely and even though we dined outdoors, it still felt the perfect mix of cozy and lively.

The service was super accommodating and we had multiple waitresses serve us while they all worked together. They made us feel welcome and answered every question we had. It didn’t matter if we had them as our waitress, they still treated us as if we were their own table! Some notable praises: Waitresses held the door for customers, picked up any scraps on the ground caused by the wind keeping the atmosphere clean at all times, and one waitress took the time to talk to us while still tending to her tables.

Lastly, the food is well priced especially considering how well the egg benedicts were cooked. We asked for medium over-easy and it was cooked perfectly.
