I BBQ 4U — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

Consistent 5 Star reviews pulled us into this BBQ take-out nook this afternoon wondering how we have never heard of an 'actual' delicious BBQ joint in WNY. If you think you found a good BBQ in WNY, and I am talking about the food taste specifically, I challenge you to try this because it is 50x better....guaranteed. Cannot compare...no way.

We got the sampler platter because we wanted to really have a variety to base our opinion off of. A sampler is $75 and you get Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken quarters, salt potatoes, Mac and cheese (homemade), coleslaw, and baked beans (Variety of beans with actual smoked meat mixed in). If you haven't caught on, that's a ton of food so it is a reasonable and expected price. My guess is it could easily feed 4 hungry adults.

My highlights are the brisket and the baked beans. Not that the other food was mediocre...it wasn't, but the brisket is to die for. Not salty, not chewy one bit. Just moist meaty heaven. That smoked meat flavor was so incredible you cannot even put sauce on it.

We keep thinking how the heck the owner is this talented and not managing a WNY BBQ Mecca with lines out the door! Will you wait a bit for food...maybe.....should you expect fancy....no....will you fall in love with the quality and taste of that brisket.....hell yeah you will! This gentlemen runs the whole operation by himself I presume which is just insane. Just one guy making...

The owner Chuck and his side kick Alex are great people and they know what they're doing when it comes to Barbecue..... my girlfriend, and I spend half the year in Florida and half up in Buffalo, so we know our Barbecue. This is by far the best place to get all your homemade with love Barbecue. The pulled pork out of this world...the Brisket... Amazing...Baked beans with hamburger in it OMG... Truly delicious And the Mac and cheese, real Mac and cheese. The food's amazing. The staff's amazing... We've already been here multiple time's and we've recommended it to all our friends who have also returned multiple times and refer them to their friends. You can't go wrong, if you want the best Barbecue in Buffalo, you've got to try this place. You'll be happy you did, and you'll be coming back for more. And when you go in, tell Chuck and Alex a big hello. They'll always give you a sample if you want to try it before you buy it. I was at I BBQ 4 U yesterday, and I literally woke up this morning still thinking about the service… and realized I forgot to post this review. That’s how good the experience was.

The owner is one of the most passionate, respectful, and giving people I’ve ever met. He doesn’t just run a restaurant… he makes you feel like family. Before I even purchased anything, he made sure I tried the food. He takes time with each customer and connects with them on a personal level. As a Black man, I can honestly say you don’t come across customer service like this every day.

And then the food… The brisket was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. GET THE BRISKET!!! The pork ribs? Incredible. No sauce needed at all. We couldn’t even wait to get home… we sat in the car eating, still raving about both the food and the service. After helping another customer with a smile, the owner noticed us, and came back out with warm, brand-new white cloths and towels (not napkins) so we could wash and dry our hands. Who does that? That’s next-level hospitality.

He deserves every one of these five stars and then some. Yesterday left such an impression that I’m already heading back today for the Friday beef...
