I am writing this with deep frustration, sadness, and a profound sense of disbelief at what I endured at this Burger King location. What was supposed to be a quick and simple stop for a meal turned into one of the most demeaning and degrading encounters I’ve ever experienced as a customer, all at the hands of Store Manager Audra Murphy. I came through the drive-thru calmly and respectfully, asking for a very manageable request: to add crispy onions and barbecue ranch sauce to a chicken sandwich, essentially creating a BBQ-style chicken Whopper. There was no rush, no line, no shortage of time or ingredients. I was the only car in line. I wasn’t being difficult. I was just asking for a sandwich my way something Burger King claims to support. Jasmine, the employee taking my order, wasn’t outright rude, but her repeated responses “I can’t do that” felt dismissive. She insisted there was no way to substitute chicken or add those ingredients. I’ve worked in the food industry. That’s simply not true. If she didn’t know how to make it happen, she could’ve asked. Still, I kept calm. Then suddenly, without warning, Audra Murphy, the manager on duty, jumped onto the intercom and started screaming. Not speaking. Screaming. Her tone was hostile, aggressive, and filled with rage. I hadn’t done anything wrong. I hadn’t raised my voice. I was just trying to place an order. Yet she falsely accused me of being disrespectful and ordered me to come inside if I wanted to be helped. It was humiliating, degrading, and completely uncalled for. I even asked Jasmine, “Was I being rude to you?” and she said no. That moment confirmed everything I was being treated unfairly and publicly shamed by a manager who clearly doesn’t belong in that position. Looking inside, I noticed how defeated all the employees looked. No energy. No joy. Just tension. That kind of environment is what happens under poor leadership. If this is how Audra Murphy treats customers in public, I can only imagine how she treats staff behind closed doors. Audra Murphy needs to be removed immediately. Her behavior is a threat to customer well-being and staff morale. The fact that she acted like she couldn’t be fired shows her complete lack of accountability. Promote Jasmine at this point. She may be new, but at least she showed composure and honesty more than I can say for the current manager. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York State Attorney General and a discrimination complaint with the Better Business Bureau. On top of that, I fully intend to sue this Burger King location for the emotional distress and discriminatory treatment I endured. This will not be ignored. I am also formally requesting that Burger King corporate review the footage from that night and send me a copy for my legal records. The video will show the truth. This experience shook me. I left angry, but more than anything, hurt. I never imagined I’d be screamed at for simply ordering food. Burger King needs to take accountability and replace this manager immediately. No one deserves to be...

My partners and I order food from here all the time because it's always prepared quickly, accurately(even when we have a complicated order or adjustments) and is always served hot and fresh!
The staff at this store are amazing and always happy, polite, and willing to greet you and have a chat with you while your food is prepared. They're always very friendly, knowledgeable about the products and current promotions, and go out of their way to make sure every customer feels welcome and appreciated.
I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant over any other local burger places. No other fast food joint in Amsterdam can compete when it comes to a quick burger and fries and an ice cold coke!
If I could rate higher, I would and,if you order DoorDash, your order will almost always be exactly how you wanted it without issues! In the four years we've been using it(when we don't have a chance to visit in-person,) we've never had any of our orders missing anything!
This BK is the best in Montgomery County, if not the entire Capital...
Read moreChanging this to two stars from four. The last two times I went there were terrible. The first time we got stuck in line because the cashier had no change for the customer in from of us. Since the manager was out in his car smoking...something... With a friend, we had to wait for someone to go get him to make change. He took his sweet time coming in, too. Yesterday I went to the drive thru at around 4pm. There was one car ahead of me that waited 2 full minutes to order because nobody was there to take orders, finally they ordered and I drive to the speaker only to be told somebody would be right with me..I waited a full minute and asked what was up and was told somebody would be right with me again. 2 full minutes later I drove away and went to Five Guys right across the street and was served immediately. This place has gone downhill quickly in the last year. I'm only giving 2 stars because the food, when and if you ever get it,...
