B B's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Arcadia

Not from around the area, and I googled pizza places, and this showed up. I'm all about trying new pizza spots. And with the surprisingly pretty high rating, I figure Absolutely I'll give them a try. So I called to make an order, and right off the bat, the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude, almost like he doesn't care in it. It seems like he just really does not want to be there. I meani can't blame him because he deals with probably 300 customers a day. So when I get there, it is the same gentleman I talked to on the phone. I mentioned that there is a $2 coupon on your website. And he replies, "You have to print it out." After telling him that I am not from the area, I'm not going to drive 3 hours back home and then another 3 hours back just to print out a $2 coupon. Don't know what to tell, he replied. He said that anyone can just say that they have a coupon, that's why we removed it from our menus. So I took my phone phone out, showed him my screen. I go look this is your website I scroll down and here are the coupons. In his response, he was sorry. Well, I guess it's my fault I should have asked before I pick up a pizza, but maybe say something on the website that would be nice. Anyways, about the pizza, I am thoroughly very disappointed. With paying $20 for a large regular cheese pizza, I did ask for two very small additions, which included if I could have the pizza well done and light to light medium sauce. Well, I thought I was impressed with how heavy the pizza was when I picked it up, but boy, was I wrong. The disappointment is that the pizza was just a heaping pile of cheese and sauce. If you want a basic flavorless run of the mill Pizza this is your place. There was absolutely zero, and I mean zero flavor or any type or any seasoning or nothing. It was almost like eating a frozen pizza but with a huge pile of cheese. So when I went to pick up my first slice, of course, the entire mountain of cheese slid right off. So then I let it cool down for a few minutes, and then I tried again. Getting another slice, luckily, the cheese did not fall off this time, but it was just a mountain of very Bland flavorless cheese and a massive amount of sauce. This will be my one and the only time I eat here. I was very, very disappointed. Honestly, go to Domino's and spend $9 on a large pizza, and the flavor is just amazing. You have so many different seasonings. At least it's not just a heaping pile of flavorless cheese... after taking 2 bites, I questioned my pizza existing future. I honestly just gave the rest to some drunk guys. I'm highly disappointed, I do...

I ordered 2 pepperoni slices to go. The slices seemed smaller than a typical slice - although it was hard to tell, as they're square slices with a little bit thicker than normal crust. They really skimped on the pepperoni though - there were only 4 pieces per slice (so way more bites with only cheese than bites with pepperoni). The pizza tasted mostly OK (nice herb taste up front, but occasionally an odd - almost metallic - aftertaste). The pizza was warm rather than hot (the place wasn't busy when I visited, so it may have been sitting for a while - then again, I walked 1/4 of a mile in sub-zero temperatures before getting back to my desk and eating it, so maybe it just cooled down super quick).

The staff was polite enough but a bit solemn.

Apart from it being close to where I'm working at, I don't think I'd hurry back - at least not for the pizza. They do subs too, so maybe I'll check them out...

BUYER BEWARE!!! I'm never ordering from here again. The foods not the problem the problem is if you're paying by phone with a card they like to overcharge you. This has happend to me twice now and I am alway sure to ask for my total before giving up my card information and yet some how still managed to be charged more than what my total was even after including a tip!!! The first time they did it my total was $65 after tipping and my card was charged $75 total. Then again last night my total was $63 I said to add a $5 tip for the driver my total was $68 even but was charged $70.72 to my card and was not handed a receipt last night with my order either. I don't have these problems when paying with cash or ordering pick up. I only have the issues when ordering delivery or paying with my card. I'm done ordering from here and I sincerely hope they catch whichever employee is overcharging people and fire...
