I don’t speak Spanish and no one spoke English, and the “place your order” screen doesn’t let you request any alterations such as well done or hold the lettuce etc. Took long to place order. Placed order to stay, got receipt with number on it, they indicated they would bring my food to my table. Was taking for ever, I checked with counter people several times, after 35 minutes (2nd check) I discovered my food/tray was sitting on the counter for I don’t know how long, with customers leaning, Breathing & reaching over my food. These people didn’t bring my food as they indicated they would, they didn’t call my number, they just left right out front of counter for everyone to breath and lean over when getting their take out. They left out my $4.00 4 oz. side of sauce, my fajita steak was tough as leather, food was cold probably from sitting for who knows how long while being breathed over, peppers & onions were raw even though I asked for them charred. Everything from ordering to paying to getting my food and it being lousy was a...
Read moreExtremely disappointed and disheartened. I was looking forward to trying this place with my family, but our experience was tainted by what felt like biased and unequal treatment. We waited patiently at the “Order Here” sign, only to be told to use the self-service kiosk. Not long after placing our order, another couple (who did not look like us) walked in and were immediately greeted and served directly by staff. I asked one of the employees — the one who spoke the most English — why the other couple was helped personally while we were told to use the kiosk. Her response was that they were “busy” when we came in. That simply wasn’t true. They were just as busy, if not more, when the other couple arrived. The discrepancy in treatment was too glaring to ignore. We didn’t feel welcome, and I won’t be returning. I also wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with basic respect — especially if you...
Read moreI’ve passed by this place a few times but never stopped in, worried it wouldn’t be authentic. As someone who’s picky about tacos, I decided to give it a shot after seeing so many positive reviews, and I’m so glad I did! This place is now definitely one of my go-to spots. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, which made for a great first impression. The menu offered a wide variety of tempting options, and we ended up ordering birria tacos, carnitas, taco de lengua, horchata, churros, BBQ wings, and corn. Everything was absolutely delicious! The carnitas, in particular, paired perfectly with the horchata.
The restaurant is run very efficiently, so much so that we assumed it was a chain. However, we learned that the owner has two locations, with the original in Deer Park. It’s clear they know how to run a business, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly...
