I called for a pick up order earlier today- two entrees and an extra side of meatballs. I specifically asked the girl if the dinners came with salads. I could tell she was new because she was unsure, so she said she would go double check, which I appreciated. She came back to say yes they came with salads pasta and bread. I said great, then that will complete the order.

We get home after picking up the order and there are no salads. I called and explained the situation to the girl on the phone and she said she would get the manager, so I re explained when she came on the line. She said well the girl is new, so she didn’t know. I explained that she asked someone else, so apparently multiple employees were unaware and it was their mistake. She said well you can come get side salads and I’ll give you 15% off, but you didn’t technically order them so there’s not much I can do. I said we are at a family event, which was visiting my grandma and bringing her dinner after getting out of the hospital, and this was frustrating to say the least having to leave and to get these salads but only 15% off?! And I DID order them because I was told they came with the meal! She kept repeating what she already told me so the conversation wasn’t getting anywhere.

This was so frustrating! Not only was that $70 meal (which is soooo not worth the price, it’s higher quality fast food, it’s nothing special) but the only solution offered was so unhelpful. I would have picked up side salads for free and been aware next time that the meals do not come with them, instead they lost customers tonight. This place is...

Saw a different review here about their good attention to food allergies, yet this hasn't been our experience at Bellini's. I was party and witness to two separate occasions where clearly stated and identified food allergies were overlooked.

1.) A cannoli (served with an otherwise delicious take-out order) had unadvertised pieces of tree nuts mixed into the cannoli filling; and 2.) a "mushroom gravy" (served overtop a chicken dish as dine-in) was made by the chef using a veal stock base, and served that way. In both cases the 1.) allergy; 2.) allergy severity; and 3.) adverse and severe reactions to cross contamination... was clearly communicated to the servers (order taker).

The tree nut occurence above at Bellini's (Slingerlands) resulted in the person person going into anaphylaxis shock. The person with the severe allergy to beef, fortunately didn't take a bite off the dinner plate served, as we all could tell that the advertised mushroom gravy (as stated on the menu) most likely was beef based as it had a rich dark color to it (it was veal based, so yup - that would be beef). They replaced the dinner plate with a salad.

Perhaps Bellini's is paying better attention now to their customers, since I see others in the reviews here are having better experiences. This would be great to hear. Unfortunately, once it happens to a person with a severe food allergy, it's hard to go back to that chef. Having a "food allergy" is not a choice. The salad was...

Our family dined in on New Year’s Day. Although the atmosphere is very nice, our experience was not so nice.

We had the private room for a party of 12 however, upon our arrival, the table was set for 9. We had to shuffle seating around to add more settings which wasn’t a huge deal but once we sat down, we found that 3 of the chairs had very wobbly legs causing us to have to tighten them or change out chairs altogether.

The waitress was great and very upset that from the onset, there were issues. She asked the manager to come and talk to us however they never came.

After a lot of shuffling we finally got settled in and placed our drink and appetizer order.

The server did a great job with us and was very kind.

I have to say that are entree’s were sub-par. The salmon was very over cooked and dry, the chicken Parmesan was dry and definitely over cooked as well as the pasta being way too soft.

I have been to Bellini’s in Slingerlands a few times now since they opened in the new location and each experience has been disappointing. The restaurant itself is very well appointed however the food is not at all what it should be for the prices that are being charged. After this most recent experience, I will not be going back...

Today was a hit, I usually order meatball ricotta oven fire pizza to dine at table, then order 16 inch with two extra toppings to home. Today pizza was flavor full of delicate seasonings, dough elasticity and thickness was executed well. Calamari cooked tender and lightly seasoned.Last month was a failure, I ordered meatball/ricotta with two extra toppings on pizza and margarita 16 inch with two extra toppings for home. Bellina's always used San Marzano tomatoes that has sweetness and balanced acidity, arrived home and pizza did not have extra two toppings ,sauce was extremely bitter (sauce was changed) I phoned bellinis manager to advise the error, he advised next time I'm in they would make adjustments. In today's economic inflation / recession you expect consistency of product that compliments flavors on delicious fresh food that one expects, this is what brings in repeat clientele. Consistency and excellence and attention to detail.

Bellini's is more than a place to dine; it's an experience! If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine paired with an elegant atmosphere, this is THE place. Whether you want an intimate, romantic dinner for two, small gathering or to host a private event, they offer it all. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Misty to arrange our engagement party in the private room in the Slingerlands location. Misty was detail-oriented, offered us an early arrival to setup the decor and ensured mini cannolis would be prepared fresh after dinner. The long banquet table in the private dining area offered the perfect blend of timeless, romantic and traditional feel we desired most. The main courses were spectacular and even offered a variety of gluten-free options! We highly recommend booking your private events at either location.

I’ve been coming here since the opened, they’re always spot on. The new place is beautiful (Formerly Roux, another favorite) they’ve changed it up a bit looks great and always immaculate and clean. Staff very attentive and look the part as well and now the food, Ohhh the food, last night I popped is for pizza, salad and a drink. It was exactly what I need. I started out with a Hot & dirty Martini which was a great start made just how I liked it, then ordered the Sicilian pizza and Prodoto salad with prosciutto wrapped/cooked shrimp, OMG, you cannot miss with that combination for sure. Price point right where it should be, what a very welcoming established agent. Always return, oh and a quick Peroni too ;)
