VIVA LAS MARGARITAS!!! I just finished my first experience here, and I want to tell you that if you haven't been yet, you need to get there as soon as possible! Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed how chic and stylish the decor was...very upscale! We were served glasses of water without asking and presented with chips and salsa. My best friend and I were seated quickly and started our pleasurable experience with frozen margaritas...she got the mango and I was feeling the Mexican lollipop margarita (had Tajin on the rim and a lollipop that tasted like a spicy fruit rollup; Warning: can't taste the alcohol). I had 10 of the best chicken wings that I've had. The sauce was ain homemade mango chipotle...delectable and delicious! I had the Tour de Mexico having a beef burrito, a chicken enchilada, a beef tamale, a cheese chili poblano, a chicken chimichanga, and a beef crispy taco served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Las Margaritas is better than El Patron. Our server José was very attentive to what we needed and he refilled my soda whenever it was empty and I was ready for another. Before leaving, I got a Bailey's cheesecake to go. I'll finish that up at home. Thank you, Las Margaritas, for an experience that I will never forget. I promise you that I will be back and ready for more. You're my #1 Mexican restaurant!

Came here for lunch with my hubby. There's a sign on the door saying if you dance to your table, you can get a free tequila shot, taco, or scoop of ice cream. I fully committed to the bit! Asked for a tequila shot but our waiter forgot. I didn't really NEED the shot so I didn't ask a second time. There was a deal of buy 1 get one free for pina collada's. My 1st was strong and tasty! I couldn't even try to think of drinking a 2nd with lunch so I asked for it to go. The star was lost because they gave me a virgin one! I went to have my drink later in the night and was disappointed with the lack of alcohol. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. Normally I like my salsa chunky, which this one wasn't, but it had a smoky chipotle flavor which i really enjoyed. I had the birria tacos which was a large portion and delicious. My husband had the beef tamales which he always gets when we go out for Mexican and said these are the best he's had. Will definitely return!

The former Italian eatery has been remodeled with a blue-heavy modern Mexican theme. It works. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prices were a little steep for Mexico fare. Cilantro was used in the Salsa and another dish which had mixed reviews simply because of the genes passed to my spouse and I. I thought the taste was fine and she tasted soap. With an herb that is noted to affect taste pallets in different ways, I would suggest reducing its use unless it is advertised in a dish. The tortillas seemed house made and had an excellent texture and taste. One of our party tried a vegan dish (enchiladas). They lacked a substantial filling and were served with non-vegan sour cream. We love having a new Mexican Restaurant in the area and hope that they have staying power. We will be back to give another try and would lime to see them create a few new unique dishes that really have some "wow", power; especially in the vegetarian/vegan area

The restaurant is decorated very nice. Great picture opportunities. We reserved a table so im not sure how long the wait is as a walk in but I do know they was packed. The hostess at the door was very friendly as she sat us at our table. The waiter was patient as we decided what we ordered due to it being our first time. However once we placed our orders he snatched our menus from us. We ordered two white sangrias from the daily BOGO speacial, PEACH and Passion fruit. When he brought them out they was overflowing all over the table. He didnt bother to clean it or give extra napkins. We had to ask for them when he even said the drinks was spilling all over the place. I will say they was strong but they both was orange color, came with sliced oranges, and tasted like orange flavor. So we couldn't tell the difference from either one. I honestly don't even know if we had the actual flavors we ordered. My mom had to once again ask about the chips and salsa, they was not brought out like we had thought they would as a complimentary item. We had the barria pizza which was cold but we don't like returning food to the kitchen so we just made do. Despite the temp of the food it was actually good. So ik if we got them served hot or even up to temp they would have been better. Look over your receipt!!! We noticed an up charge and when we made the waiter aware...he actually admitted that the system up charges some of the items on the menu. He corrected the tab but wouldn't have did so if we didn't catch it. Finally when he thought we was done leaving the tip he took it off the table but not before saying " Tips are usually more but whatever I'll take it" as he snatched it. I was explaining that the food was cold and he completely ignored me and walked away. I immediately called him back to the table and explained that we was not done collecting the tip from our party to give to him and what he thought was his total tip was actually not. So yes I took back what he thought was his tip and told him to never tell a customer what they SHOULD HAVE left. Tip is not included in the bill so that is up to the customer based on service. I will not be returning to this location. This is majority a white crowd at this location. We couldt help but to fill like we was judged and treated differently based on our race. As if we wouldnt have been adequate or up to par customers. The 1 star is based soley on the...

We love Mexican/Latin American Food, so decided to try this place based on the high Google rating. I can onlu sumise that the reviews are written by AI bots, or people being paid, as this was possibly the worst Mexican food I've had. I had a lunch option of carnitas, which came with 3 flour tortillas, traditional rice, some lettuce, tomatos, a dolop of guacamole, and pinto beans. There was largely no flavor to my food, only the outside/surface parts of the carnitas had flavor, and it was somewhat over cooked. I had left overs, and I didn't bother taking them home, which I always do otherwise. I ordered a $15 Paloma which was mostly ice and not very grapefruit tasting. The people were kind enough, but this place definitely has a party atmosphere heavily reliant on drinking alcohol, which when you HAVE to drive there given it's location, is problematic. This place is not very traditional, and instead seems to cater to those who want an extension of the Cancun party crowd. They're are many great truly traditional and yummy Mexican/Latin American places in the Capital District. I recommend people try any of those instead. This place was very very disappointing.

Response to owner. I was at the Slingerlands location with my partner for lunch yesterday, July 10, 2025. Not sure what type of record you are suggesting you should have of my patronage, but I was most definitely there... Thank you, but I'm not interested...
