I am a long time customer of Delmonico's. They have always been a bit pricey but for a special occasion they never disappoint. Until now. We went on Saturday for my husband's birthday. We both ordered the house specialty Delmonico 24oz ribeye ( the leftovers are always a plus). At $37 a steak, plus $10 for a salad and we were fully planning on dessert, I knew this would be close to $150 for the two of us, but as I said, it was a special occasion. Not only did we both order the same thing, but both requested it be medium rare. I even specified to my server that it should be PINK in the middle . She brought our salads and we (attempted to) chat for awhile. It is VERY LOUD in there. After a bit our steaks were brought; she did not wait for us to check on them so she was already gone when I cut into mine and it was RED and cold inside. In other words... RARE. My husband's was cooked perfectly. We flagged down another waitress, since ours was nowhere to be seen and they said they would take care of it. I told my husband to go ahead and eat his since it was his birthday but he wanted us to eat together and asked them to take his as well, to keep it warm. When they brought them both back, mine was fine and his was WELL DONE. So now we get some level of manager type person to come over and he apologizes etc etc etc but barely let my husband say what he wanted to say. Something was said about taking something off the check but i asked MULTIPLE times to just bring the check. I feel like I was ignored. Now another manager type person stops by and we retell the story. At least he had the decency to let us speak. He says he will comp us the meal. Again, I asked him to just bring me the check. We didn't come for a free meal, we only wanted them to understand how much it had simply ruined our evening. After a bit I was brought a check for $24.98. I'm not sure where this number came from and i would have preferred the full check. Our appetites were ruined, as was our night. I paid the bill, left a $20 tip and as we were leaving and the group of employees at the front desk bid us a good night, I told them it was a terrible experience and we would not be returning. Wanting to salvage some piece of the evening we popped in to Phillip's European for dessert and they could NOT have been nicer. Wish we had gone there...
Read moreDelmonico's Italian Steakhouse is a very classic feeling steakhouse that leans heavily into Italian American culture and decor, with a variety of unique caricatures sprawling across the walls, and several themed seating areas based on notable Italian American celebrities.
The menu is largely a la carte, but the prices are well within expectation for the scale of this steakhouse and very reasonable for the quality of the food.
The complimentary bread and seemingly house made, whipped butter we extremely good, with the butter exceeding expectation for what appears to be a rather standard starter.
Of the choice of sides, I opted for the Roma tomato & mozzarella salad, the hot peppers, mushrooms & onions, and the steamed asparagus. The presentation of the salad was quite appealing, laid out in an attractive spiral and drizzled with a delightful balsamic vinaigrette. The tangy dressing accompanied with the moist mozzarella was excellent, though the tomatoes were somewhat underripe. The hot peppers, mushrooms & onions were also good overall, though nothing notable, with the peppers in particular being slightly underdone by comparison, standing out in a way that was slightly jarring though still palatable. The asparagus was similarly well prepared, with parmigiana cheese and the same balsamic drizzle as the salad.
All of the sides themselves were and excellent contrast to the rich fillet mignon, which I ordered medium-rare, and that was exactly what I received, well seasoned and with a nice sear. The meat was high quality and cooked to an ideal level.
For dessert, I opted for the tiramisu; while the flavor profile was satisfactory, the consistency of the pastries was far soggier than that of a tiramisu made with high-quality, fresh ladyfingers. Still good, but lacking the qualities to be a truly stand-out dish.
Coupling all of this with the excellent service made for a delightful experience. We were a small, admittedly rambunctious party who came from well out of town specifically for Delmonico's (a favorite of one of our party members), and our server managed and treated us extremely well.
Overall, I would certainly recommend Delmonico's for an above average, fine...

I wanted a bit to eat. was a spur of the moment visit. was seated quickly facing the front as you walk in to the right room under the exit sign second table to the left. 4/22/24 around 5:54pm i was finishing up a call the waitress came to the table put her back to me and read off the special unto my 12 year old great niece and asked her what she was ordering i am off the phone at this time i gave been going to Delmonicos for over 30 years and in all of my visits no matter how full or the wait the experience was still 4.5 and above it literally change with this ice cube of a person the section had hardly anyone in it we waited 30- 35 minutes with no return of her i called the restaurant from my table i was just going to order that way because letting people who loudly yell and mistreat very passively shouldn’t take president for all of the other excellent dinners and service. I explained to my niece on how not to be unto anyone regardless of personal feelings because it is a god awful attitude that most people allow to over shadow great 99% of the time establishments she literally gave me the most fattest delmonic steak ever to express her cold passive voice i took intense pictures of it I personally was okay with it because this diet shot that i take i can only eat a couple of bits anyhow it was her way of expressing her feelings toward a stranger me i didn’t say anything to her bill cam paid i still left a tip although i wanted to leave a copper penny i don’t believen that tick for tack thing and i didn’t want to do that infront of my niece ….. because certain establishments you expect the very best that is wegmans/ Starbucks/ delmonicos/ strong hospital exc…. Because of there motto, i just don’t get the establishment destroyers that we allow to tarnish a brand because of there own personal horse riding attitude we shouldn’t allow such people to destroy the brand because for mist amazing surviving businesses it’s the heartbeat of why awesome...
