Alfredo's Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Let me first start by saying that I have owned a DJ company for over 20 years and have eaten catered food from countless restaurants. We probably have Alfredo's at least 2-3 times a week and absolutely love your food. We have even placed a few smaller catering orders with you which have all been great. When we were planning our Gender Reveal Party, there was no other restaurant that we wanted other than Alfredo's.

From the first day we sat with Angela to plan our menu, to the day we picked everything up and served your food to our guests, our experience with Alfredo's was nothing short of PERFECT. Angela is an absolute asset to their establishment who made sure that every detail was addressed and that our food was prepared exactly how we liked it. We had a few guests, including my wife Ana's father, who is vegan, and needed their dietary restriction attended to. Angela documented these restrictions on our paperwork and worked with your chefs to make sure that everything was prepared appropriately. The day we picked everything up, Angela went over each individual restriction and confirmed with us that each dish was prepared to meet the dietary needs of our vegan guests. This was very impressive and professional on Angela's part and our vegan guests couldn't stop raving about the food.

When it came to the rest of our catering food, Alfredo's knocked it out of the park!! Our guests could stop complementing about their food and asking where it was from. Some guests even said that the eggplant rolatini, penne a la vodka, and rigatoni with broccoli, garlic and oil was the best that they ever had. We are BEYOND HAPPY that we chose Alfredo's to cater our event, and I will be recommending your restaurant to all of my customers in need of catering for their weddings, sweet sixteens, and other private events. We cannot put into words how grateful we are for the amazing culinary experience that Alfredo's provided us with for our party. We moved into the area earlier this year and Alfredo's became one of our favorite spots for both dine-in, takeout and delivery. The last few times we've been there the quality and apparent freshness of the dishes seems to have deteriorated. The biggest problem for us, though, is the service, which has slowly but surely gone from attentive to abysmal. This afternoon, we were the only two in the dining room and it still seems as though the waitress forgot about us. Granted, it was an odd hour, just between lunch and dinner hour, but still. A few months ago, this would have been an entirely different review. Probably 4 stars. I'm not sure if management changed or if we've just been going at the wrong times, but it's becoming less and less likely that we will be going back. UPDATE We gave it one more try tonight, (Sunday, February 10), mostly for convenience sake. It took just over 5 minutes for our server to come over after we sat down. There were about 6 tables, the largest being served dinner when we came in, and the others either mid meal or finishing up. We waited another 5 minutes for our waters and menus and then just under 10 minutes before she came back and took the order. Shortly after we ordered, a party of four came and sat down next to us. They got their drinks and appetizers and finished same and our dinners still hadn't come. We'd ordered gnocchi and linguine with sausage and meatballs. Nothing particularly elaborate, to be sure. As I indicated in the earlier review, the service is always weak here, but tonight the kitchen disappointed as well. The gnocchi was fine, but the linguini was way over cooked and the sausage was dry and over cooked as well. It was, overall, a thoroughly disappointing experience. I worked in the bar and restaurant industry for the first half of my life and tend to be a generous tipper. Tonight I left a flat 15 percent and felt as if I was overtipping. Has gone down hill honestly , and now we’re done. Buffalo pizza used to be awesome it used to be like real buffalo chicken and now it is just chicken in it with hot sauce. Spread across it in a drizzle type style where it used to be buffalo sauce that used to be really good chicken and now it’s not buffalo chicken and chicken and hot sauce so we stopped ordering that and I started ordering half pepperoni and bacon and mind you I now gone a couple weeks in a row pretty much getting the same order and I get my order tonight and it is all bacon fat. I come back for a remake. I’m just hungry. I wanna go home at that point and now I can’t eat with my family because I have an overnight shift and that I have to leave for so I’m upset and they hand me another thing with all bacon fat instead of putting the bacon fat on the Pizza. You should’ve just said something to me and I would’ve gotten something different I would’ve just not gotten the bacon and I wouldn’t have cared, but it was the fact that you know it’s fat when you put it on the pizza. Why not say something and I’m told that’s the bacon they use but I’ve ordered it before and it was fine , to hand me pretty much back what I just complained about , so after years of going there and living around the corner we’re done.
