Bagel Palace — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Here is my update, I left my original review below this. Third morning I sent to Bagel palace to pick up a dozen bagels to bring into school, I passed by on my commute. This was my third visit to BP and I must say, they have been consistent with their excellent business, service and smile. Again, Craig the owner was there and I had a chance to talk with him and tell him how delicious his bagels are. He is very nice and takes the time to chat with the customers and not rush them. The staff he's been very nice as well. Their bagels I feel are outstanding! I love walking into a bagel shop being able thi smell the great scent of freshly cooked bagels and that toasted sesame smell as well. The bagels have always been nice and hot and with that nice crunch on the outside.

They offer a special, when you buy 12, you get 6 free....yes!!!! or buy 12 and get a 1/4 lb of cream cheese free. I think that is awesome. There aren't many shops that have this offer anymore!

First I will say that I have read most of the reviews and hope that those experiences will improve over time.

This morning I stopped into the Bagel Palace just to try it out. I am always looking for a place that is convenient for me as I commute to work. (I am not thrilled about the 2 stores in Hampton bays that I have tried, no affiliation to this store)

I went in and asked the person behind the counter for a sesame bagel with cream cheese. She was very nice and did take care of my order in a timely way. I also asked her how much a dozen bagels cost.....I was told $12 and you get 6 free. I repeated the question just to confirm that what I heard was correct, and it was. This is good because that is a great deal for shawn I want fi being bagels into school. I will stop by again for another try, maybe order a bacon and egg sandwich just to see if it is made well or not.... but for now, what I experienced was fine hence, the 4 stars. When I try other things and learn more about the place, I will make changes, ...

Went there on a Monday morning, ordered $32 worth of food. 3 egg sandwiches- no cheese. I get to where I’m bringing every thing, and my nephews open the sandwiches- they all have cheese. I call she says they will remake them but bring the original sandwiches back. So I go all the way back they aren’t happy but remake them. I go out to the car to check again before I drive away and one sandwich has a hair. I bring it back inside and when I walk in one of the servers says ‘what now?’ As if I was the issue. They remake it again and I ask if it’s possible to get some kind of refund for all the hassle. They give me an attitude and say ‘they remade them. What more do I want?’ So one of them takes my number and says she can’t do refunds but I’ll get a call later from someone about it. They never called. I won’t be going back. The owner is a disrespectful jerkoff, even to the staff it’s easy to see. The food is overpriced and VERY bad which comes along with attitude problems and incompetence if you call in an order it will be wrong 98% of the time and the idiot will try and justify that it’s “not their fault”. It’s “YOU’RE” fault and this is true actually because you went to the wrong place. There is a good, better deli south on railroad ave and a bunch of others that are cheaper, better, quality all around. This place only gets business because there isn’t very local competition bottom line! It’s pathetic to OWN a bagel place and yet you cannot make simple bagels or eggs.
