Better Burger Catering & Food Truck — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Where do I even begin? I paid for the Deluxe BBQ Package for 59 people, for my home and what was delivered was beyond disappointing. They showed up with two tiny electric grills that could barely fit four burgers at a time — and those same small grills were used to cook everything: burgers, sausage, steak (which was hard as a rock and completely inedible), and chicken.

There were long lines of guests just standing there waiting for food. Many ended up walking away because it was taking so long. They provided only one small tray of salad, which ran out in the first 20 minutes — with no refills, no backup, and no dressing (they claimed it was already “on it”).

What really frustrated me was the lack of transparency. The company’s website shows a large professional grill under the Deluxe Package — that’s NOT what they bring. When I questioned it afterward, they pointed to a line on the invoice that said “electrical outlets needed.” I assumed that was for warming trays or fries — not for cooking everything on a tiny portable Blackstone-style grill.

I truly regret not sending them away and just ordering trays of food myself. I paid a lot of money for gross food, poor service, and an embarrassing experience for my guests.

On a positive note, we also had Crepes and Pizza station at night at the party — and their food was absolutely delicious. If you’re planning an event, skip Better Burger LI and go with someone who delivers what they promise. BBQ KINGS have...

I've always meant to stop here and I wish I had sooner. A perfect, good-sized burger (I had a single and it was not small) and really delicious tater tots. The burger was perfectly cooked as was the bacon on top (there were quite a few strips). The cheese was nicely melted and the bun was fresh and tasty. The sauteed onions were cooked perfectly and everything was hot and fresh. The flavor on the tater tots was really good and they were fried just right. We ate on site under the shade and it was enjoyable. We will definitely return to check out more of the menu as everything sounded so good. Service was fast...

I really wanted to like this place. Go Burger is another food truck that sells amazing burgers so I thought this one would be similar. But I was wrong. The burger I got had bacon, cheese and an egg on it. And even though it was decent all together, when I tasted the burger meat by itself I was disappointed. The burger meat hardly had any flavor at all. I mainly tasted the bacon and cheese, the burger was just added filling essentially. My gf had the same experience with her burger.
