Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

RATING SHOULD BE ZERO-THEY ARE THIEVES! I stopped by earlier today and asked the young lady at the counter who spoke very poor English if they carry any small size cakes or sandwiches that I could buy with a $15 gift card my daughter gave to me and my wife. The employee took my card and said she needed to check with somebody. She stepped behind the wall to the right from me and spoke to somebody for a minute or two. The lady in her 40-50 who looked like a manager came out and told me they had no small cakes or ice cream sandwiches for $15 and that without paying anything extra I can buy only two ice creams. As I did not want to spend any money besides the gift card I gave them earlier I indicated what ice cream I wanted to take. As I mentioned earlier my card was still with the older lady, the manager, who ran it through her cash register and told me there was ZERO balance on the card.

Very surprised, I asked her to double check and was told the same, that the card had no balance on it. With that she handed me back the card. Frustrated, I went back into my vehicle where my wife was waiting for me. Told her what happened, and as soon as I gave her the gift card returned to me by the Cold Stone Creamery manager she pointed that it was a different card, used several times with several dollar amounts on the back indicating multiple times usage.

Very upset that I have not noticed it myself I returned to the store and asked the manager if by mistake she used somebody else's card and kept my unused $15 card. To which she just responded WHAT? like I was some kind of imbecile. I have never been to that place before, and most definitely will never go again! Not willing to ruin my Saturday I just left. Hope the people who read this will learn from my experience and never patronize this Cold Stone Creamery at 2350 Middle Country...

Maria Lozano Deserves All the Praise – Cold Stone Creamery Store #20933

We don’t usually leave reviews, but we had to take a moment to recognize Maria Lozano for going above and beyond at Cold Stone Store #20933.

We needed a custom cake for a special day, and when Maria found out the pickup date fell on her day off, she didn’t hesitate—she made the cake ahead of time just to make sure we wouldn’t be left without it. That kind of care and responsibility is rare, and it honestly meant a lot to us.

Not only did she follow through—the cake was incredible. Beautiful, fresh, and delicious. You could tell she put real effort and pride into it.

Maria didn’t just provide great customer service—she showed what true commitment looks like. If anyone from corporate is reading this, please recognize her. She made a real difference for our family, and people like her are the reason customers keep coming back.

Let me just say the guy who made our ice cream was very sweet and respectful. Not only did the manager of this store have an attitude that showed she couldn’t be bothered to be there, but she had two instances where my anger was boiling.

1. finding out the pistachio ice cream was BAD (staff tested it too) she decided to argue saying “that’s how it’s supposed to taste” when everyone who tasted it said they could taste the chemical and flavor in it. My gf’s throat was burning from it.
2. when being asked about a military discount for two separate orders from the same family (one for there one for takeout) she replied “you want another one from us” with the rudest attitude and face. Keep in mind this family has 3 kids and they’re so respectful and kind (they are my family as well).

BEYOND disrespectful and truthfully they need new management. Will not be returning to this...
