Forge River Boat Club — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

We had my nephews graduation here. His Aunt paid for the rental. The night before the establishment was asked by her to be sure the floors were cleaned because the main area was sticky when you walk. They assured her it would be cleaned. It was definitely not.

The bar room when you first walk in in the far corner opposite the men's bathroom smelled like urine. My family had coolers there with beverages and it was a terrible smell.

The main floor was so filthy. We had 3 toddlers. 1, 2 and 3 years old. The baby is not walking so he was crawling around. His hands feet and knees were absolutly caked with black dirt. Like the kind if dirt that builds up when you mop with the same filthy mop for a years with just water. We washed him in the bathroom sink 3 times before we left early missing a good chunk of my terminally ill nephews graduation party. . I could not stay another minute. I will post pics if I can figure out how. I cannot imagine what the kitchen is like if that is how they keep the floors.

After the fact the board was sent pictures of my filthy baby's body from crawling around on the floor for not that long mind you. They assured her they did clean it themselves but do not have a cleaning company. I would suggest never renting here unless they have stripped and cleaned their floors properly at the very least, if at all.

Great community. Very warm and welcoming group of people, all ready to help out and offer anything you may need as a new member to their yacht club. It's hard to believe that it's a town marina, with all of the service the staff extends to the members. Price is more than right, too. I actually grew up down the block from this Marina. It's small but sufficient and always kept clean. It has direct access to the Bay and has amazing views as well. Great spot for fishing, crabbing, and photos. The best part is that it's tucked away so it feels very private. I recommend...
