Paradise deli bites — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I came here for the very first time and so far I did not have a good experience. As soon as I walked inside two people weren’t wearing their masks. One was at the table clearly not eating and there wasn’t any food at the table but just texting on their phone without a mask in sight. The other one was an older guy and he placed a to-go order and he wasn’t wearing any mask even though the sign in front of him states to wear a mask. I finally got my order and as I got to my car I realize the eggs weren’t cooked throughly. It was still raw. So I went back inside to tell them I wanted the eggs scrambled and well done because I am four months pregnant and can’t eat undercooked food. I stated to them that I am willing to pay again. They said don’t worry about paying again and they’ll remake the breakfast sandwich for me and I said okay. As I’m waiting for the remake, there came a woman entering without a mask. No employee said anything to her but just continued on taking her order. ( I am four months pregnant!) What’s the point of running a business and having all these signs up if not everyone is going to apply or enforce it? First off me and my wife order from Antonio's at least once a week for the last 3 months since we moved into the area. We are very pleased with their food. For a deli they have excellent burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and my wife especially loves their banana/chocolate chip pancakes. But what's really compelling me to write this review, is that I have just ordered their Glenn hero for the first time and I am in heaven. I have ordered roast beef heroes from lots and lots of deli's in my lifetime and I have to say I am usually very disappointed in the quality of the roast beef due to it having hard fat sections and the roast beef being dry and tough when heated. Because of this I order turkey sandwiches much more often. Today I tried their Glen hero which is their house-made roast beef, melted mozzarella w/brown gravy on Garlic bread, and I have never had anything like it. The roast beef was so tender and juicy it fell apart in my mouth like brisket and there were no fatty pieces or tough sections at all. The flavor was amazing and they didn't overpower the sandwich with too much garlic it was just perfect. The Glen is the best sandwich I ever had and I will continue to order it again...

Mozz/Tomato/Pesto Panini I ordered was alright. Overpriced for its size. Well made but the mozz cheese smelled off-putting. Next time I'll ask them to smell it before they give it out to make sure it isn't spoiled again. Unfortunately what I got was inedible to me because I'm pregnant and can't risk getting sick from expired cheese.

Don't have much complaints about the service though, they were all pretty nice. Only thing is them hanging up on me after keeping me on hold for 5 minutes. Called back and the guy was pleasant on the phone. Made it there after they told me it'll be 15 minutes. Dude at the front took my name, made a funny joke then must've forgotten about me, and didn't let anyone know I was there to pick-up because I waited an additional 10 minutes.
