Ari`s Halal — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

There’s no chance this place would pass a health inspection. Absolutely disgusting. The food? Mediocre at best.

I came in here one night after hearing good things about it and wanting to try a new place. The guy running it (only 1 employee) was very unprofessional in his communication. I ordered my food, and as soon as I paid, he start rubbing his face and picking his nose with his gloved hand.

I watched as he prepared food with 1 glove, which he was also using to take out the trash, use the register, stock the fridge, use his phone (covered in food), and dig for gold in his nostrils.

Being that I had already paid an exorbitant amount of money for what I ordered, I decided that I’d take a chance and if I got food poisoning, at least maybe I’d get a good meal out of it!

Luckily, I didn’t get sick, but the food wasn’t even good. The cheese fries are just bland frozen fries that they cover in half a bag of Aldi brand cheese and melt, which then turns into a rock as soon as it cools. The pita comes out cold and stale, and the fillings are skimpy and don’t seem fresh at all. Even the sauces don’t have much taste.

I’ve never felt so nauseous watching a food establishment prepare food, and I can only imagine what happens behind the scenes.

They lied said was open and was not open and had a craving for a lam gyro 🥙 and went to weight back to me not realizing I eat there once before and yes had a craving and even though I had a craving the complaint here is you lie and say you’re supposed to be open until one and you were not you go on chrome Google you go on Safari or even restaurant look up and you ask restaurant look up for gyros near you that are open now it showed that they were open and when drove there they were actually closed so for me giving you a star one that shows that you’re mad and you’re upset that I gave you a one and you wanna say that I never tried your food so how would I know to even give you a one well I did try your food and I want to come back and I actually know that you’re supposed to be open until 1 o’clock and you are not you closed early and restaurant business that is bad...

Jerk chicken at Ari’s Halal on route 112 in Medford, is a well-deserved contender for the best jerk chicken in the area. This mouth -watering chicken was prepared with a distinct flavor that is moist, smoky and tender, which is achieved by skillful hands of the owner/chef Mohsin. It was made exactly what my critical pallet enjoy….crispy skin, adding extra layer of texture and flavor, and excellent balance of heat with savory sweet and tangy notes. I also appreciated the welcoming and sweet nature of the owner, who greeted me with a welcoming smile, making my short visit a pleasant one. I work in hospitality myself so I know good food and Service when I see it. I recommend Ari’s halal for delicious flavors of food …..meal that is also...
