Big Italy Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I went here after getting some work done on my car & was craving GOOD, FRESH pizza. I was not disappointed. Dale at the register was attentive and took my order with ease. There wasn't a dull moment with Ernie, he was energetic, funny and made you feel at home. He was very inviting when I requested to stay and eat there, and he made it clear that his job was more than a job to him and it was a lifestyle. Good pizza, good people and good times are all I think about now when I think of Big Italy Pizzeria

The pizza sauce was absolutely homemade, delicious with a hint of garlic which made it incredible, the cheese to sauce ratio was on point and the crust was crispy on the outside and a nice doughyness on the inside, the perfect slice. I suggest a cheese slice, grandma slice or vodka slice since those are the 3 I tried, but I heard the eggplant slice is incredible.

Amazing crust on plain pie. Sauce is great. Pizza is awesome. Old school and really charming place. Nice staff very friendly. Baked ziti is awesome. I've had the eggplant parm and chicken parm heros tastes like your mom's grandma's food made with love. I always stay away from restaurants on Friday and Saturdays cause they're always at peak business and prefer a night where the vibe is more laid back...you also get better attention to food. I go Sundays . One of the best pizzerias anywhere in NY. They do make Zeppolis as well now and again!! Like any other place there are good and not so good reviews but as far as the food it's homemade and yummy and everything is BIG hence the name BIG ITALY. I love the place it's a 70s vibe very 😎. Moved to the neighbor about a year ago, even though I passed Big Italy Pizza weekly I never got a chance to eat there. Had a craving today as I passed by after I getting gas. Parking is in the rear nothing special. The establishment is clean, and the staff is pleasant, when I entered I was greeted immediately. Can't remember the name of the young lady behind the counter however she did a wonderful job. With my order I was suppose to get a 2 liter and me being picky I asked for a Pepsi which wasn't in the refrigerator. The young lady went to the back or basement and found one for me. Also the way she said my name in Italian(will make your heart melt). Not the biggest place bit nice and homely. Oh, and the food was good too, family loved it. Would eat there again and Also...
