Arthur Avenue Deli — Restaurant in Town of Carmel

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would! Hands down the best food in the area. Keep in mind this review is coming from a huge foodie who has eaten all around the world at high end restaurants and Michelin stars, with a big appetite who is also super pregnant lol. First off it is family run and every employee is SO nice. I genuinely feel happy walking in the door with their friendly greetings and upbeat energy. They take customer service to a whole other level. They remember names, are so positive and even when busy, will still take a moment to engage in conversation with customers, and I swear every bite tastes like it was made with love! Everything is EXCELLENT. When I tell you I crave their food daily I am not remotely joking from their sandwiches, sides, hot lunch items (eggplant rollatini, mac n cheese balls, chicken pot pie, soups, etc) to their fresh take home pasta and pizza selections. I don't even want to go to a grocery store anymore! You can't find this quality of food anywhere else locally. This family is checking all the boxes and doing it right. Went here for the first time today and got the best panini I've ever had. I think to call it a deli misrepresents what to expect walking in. The space is big, roomy, and meticulously kept. Everyone behind the counter was happy, friendly, and helpful. They have freezers full of every ravioli you can think of (I can't wait to try mine), imported Italian groceries, ready to go options like soups and sauces, and a case full of tons of amazing looking options. I got the "yo cuz" panini which was absolutely incredible! They have tables and chairs so you can eat inside. I know this is a small thing but they brought the sandwiches right over to the table on beautiful dishes - which was such a classy touch. The prices are incredibly fair as well. I usually go to A&S because that's the best place I could find in the area. Arthur Ave deli beats them in price and quality. Do yourself a favor and give them a try - thank me later. Great staff friendly made me feel like I was a regular even though it was my first time there. The chicken cutlet sandwich with cheddar and bacon was stupendous they call it the bird. I commute from upstate new york to danbury and made it a point to stop in there. I'll make that a regular stop. Because now I want to try the other sandwiches and some of the pre made food that is there. Already looking forward to my next visit.
