KFC — Restaurant in Town of Carmel

Superior service and delicious food. I reluctantly ordered from here using DoorDash. DoorDash has never once gotten any of my orders right- from missing ranch to completely wrong orders. So I was pleasantly surprised when my order was delivered with an extra soda, extra ranch, extra straws and sporks, etc. The food was delicious and fresh, nothing was missing, and I didn't break my wallet ordering for 3 people. I got the 5 tender meal, a famous bowl meal, and a crispy colonel. The Crispy Colonel sandwich was absolutely PERFECT. It was on a popeye's level and I didn't know that was possible. I reheated the fries too long later that night and they became completely hard...AND STILL SOOOO GOOD!!!! So yes, the food was awesome. But the real MVPs are the people who put this order together. They checked the notes and made sure to include the sauces I asked for, they cooked the food fresh and wrapped it carefully so it wouldn't get smashed on the way. They made sure all 5 tenders were big, full pieces of chicken and that the fry cups were full and that the rest of the food was exactly as ordered. I know this seems like a given, but it isn't. We can sometimes spend up to $50 on delivery and it sucks that so many places will let your food be delivered with missing items, wrong specifications, or cold bland food. I can really appreciate the times when it is right. I look forward to ordering...

While I appreciate KFC and their attempts to stay innovative and dare I say “modern,” I really think they’re new products have made them less reputable. I personally love KFC for their fried chicken, extra crispy of course, but the prices have become outrageous. If I go I usually only wind up getting a 3 or 4 piece meal, but even then I’m paying $12+.

It’s a shame that KFC no longer serves potato wedges. I feel like the sides is where they skimp on the quality the most. Today I ordered a Crispy Chicken sandwich and while I appreciate the hot chicken, the sandwich barely had any sauce or pickles. I also can’t understand how a $4.99 sandwich and a small soda wound up being $8 and change.

Regardless, I have good memories of eating KFC growing up. It’s nice that they’re still around when fried chicken joints are really losing their relevance.

Generally, this KFC isn’t too bad in terms of speed, but larger orders can have you sitting in the drive thru for a while. The plaza is also a mess because most coming from the CVS side disregard the traffic flow.

Again, while not my favorite fast food chain, it is nice to stop by every once in a while and get a decent remnant...

It's a continuous ongoing problem. The problem starts with ownership, management or just the staff in general. One time I bought a family meal combo and the chicken wasn't cooked completely. One time I ordered a chicken sandwich and was given 2 tenders instead of the juicy chicken sandwich. When I complained I was told it's the same thing. No it's not, I could have gotten 2 chicken Littles for that and saved a dollar or so. Make sure you check your bags before you leave. One time I was about to drive off and my whole order was not in the bag. I was the only one on the line and the cashier just spoke to me, how can you mess up the order? The problem is there isn't much of a fast food selection so you're stuck with franchises that are way below mediocre. Please retrain your staff, fire everyone and start over; but please do...
