Mixed Review for Dinner/theatre. There was 11 of us celebrating a birthday on 3/4. The view of the stage was excellent. And the stage scene was appropriate for the setting. Brett K had a great performance as the character Joe, and the Manager Max had us laughing. Unfortunately the other Actors failed to identify with their own character and therefore did not have the appropriate rapport with each other and seemed tired and dull. This left us struggling and grasping with the comedic and emotional side of the story and characters. We realize that they are locals that come and put effort, time, and talents into their performance, but unfortunately they missed the mark this night. On a more positive note, our meals were very good. The steak was done to perfection and had a flavorful chargrilled taste. The stuffed cod and ravioli were flavorful. The Chicken Marsala was very tasty but could have had more sauce and served hotter. The small portion of potatoes was tasty and seasoned well. The chef can totally skip the kale. It was tough, flavorless and unappealing (unfortunately our only veggie choice). The salad should have included other lettuces other than iceberg. Dessert was a tiny portion (maybe a ¼ cup) of strawberry ice cream. Thank heavens for our waitress Danielle. She was excellent. She was friendly, funny and very accommodating. We had a nice family evening that was a little disappointing. Not worth the price. I hope that others give it a try but have a better experience because I want local talent and family owned restaurants to succeed...

Read moreI went to Dinner at Bobby Js tonight for the first time. We were in town for my moms birthday. We arrived at 6:15pm. The host was nice and friendly, took us to our table. From the start our server was impatient and made us feel rushed. We ordered, our apps and salad came, Caesar salad is great, just a bit peppery. Table maintenance was not very good, empty dishes left on table, and we had to ask for Soda refills. No proactive service whatsoever. There were five of us, our server brought out the main courses herself, and didn’t even notice that one of us were not served our meal. I waited patiently and finally called her over to tell her, she was clueless to the fact that the rest of the table was half done, also showing that there was no quality check done, or she would have realized I wasn’t eating. Nothing was done to compensate this. It was my moms birthday, they were fully aware. She ordered a dessert and there was no attempt to acknowledge with even a candle. Despite the crappy service, the food was good, but it didn’t make up for the bad service. We will most...
