Ordered a lot of food for the family dinner , everything was wrong. When we brought it back to the very hateful woman with long grey hair, she began to tell me that I was wrong, and I was at fault for her messing the order up. Not one thing was correct. We stated no tomatoes, as my boyfriend is severely allergic. We were all sitting together as a family ordering the food there’s no way that we didn’t listen or stated it wrong one of us would have said something. She told me again that i was wrong, and “must not have been listening” she was mocking me when I tried to defend my case, right in front of the other two coworkers,who kept their heads down, almost in fear of her. She had a very poor attitude as she began to remake the rest of the food for the second time that we had to come pick up. So we get the food home AGAIN. Second trip there and back, and we don’t live close. We open the food and inspect it, at this point, considering her poor infantile and unprofessional behavior, we had no doubt that she either spit in the food or laxed it, also considering there was a big black bone inside the chicken finger!. (If she we’re willing to stoop as low as yelling at a customer for her mistake and mocking, potentially bullying a customer, why wouldn’t she do something childish as such) after thinking it was safe, taste testing a small bite, The food did not taste right and within a half hour two people were violently ill. As expected from this woman.( will be taking sample and reporting to the board of health) Not only did the food not taste right but it was again for the third time not made correctly.In the beginning when she accused us of not listening it turned out that she wasn’t the one listening after all because it took her three orders and she still couldn’t get it right. She told me I “don’t know how to place an order” and only paid 20$ of 50$ as a refund. And then had to go to another place to buy dinner for the family.. At this point I didn’t care. The well being of my family was more important than a refund! There was lettuce and tomato on an order that specifically said not to have. And a big black bone inside a chicken FINGER. We could have eaten out for the price of the food that we had to take back three times, The third time of which we did not want anything but a full refund as deserved, wich we did not receive . I did not get this woman’s name but she worked at night on a Saturday around five 30-6 o’clock. I have never dealt with such a feeble minded worker in the food industry.I have eaten at gandys for years and never had any issues,the man who works there always very nice,I have never seen this woman before today, and I hope to never see her again for the rest of my life!.None of us will continue to get food from here, as it is not only an abusive situation, but moser importantly a health violation, considering they asked us to bring eaten food/ touched food back into their kitchen THREE TIMES after It was partially consumed and touched and in my home during a pandemic.None of us are sick (COVID)but it is still a safety hazard in the kitchen and should be at Any facility cooking or selling food to customers.If I could give this -10 I would! Read moreThe pizza sauce is on the "sweeter" side compared to pretty much ANY pizza sauces we've tried. It's NOT overly sweet or anything like that it's just different in a good way! As others have mentioned the cheese on the pizza is very gooey and very plentiful along with plentiful pepperoni (not too spicey, not too dull or greasy...perfect)! You don't need to order "double" cheese or "double" pepperoni. Prices are very FAIR which has been an issue at our "former" favorite pizza place. In fact, we switched to Gandy's as our regular due to the amount of food given and the FAIR pricing compared to where we used to go (which is much closer but Gandy's is worth the trip). Also as other reviews mentioned, when you "attempt" to pick up your order it isn't ready as promised for some reason. That can be annoying! Every time we go we end up waiting in the parking lot at least an extra 20 minutes + (regardless of what we order)...ALWAYS! But that's really a VERY miniscule complaint especially given the fact that the food is ALWAYS hot, and tastes very fresh (even after getting it home)! Lastly, (and I feel embarrassed even mentioning this but it is TRUE) it would be VERY nice and VERY MUCH appreciated IF the worker or whoever it is cashing you out BE a bit more kind and considerate. That is just something one expects and pretty much a "RULE" as far as "customer service" goes. The worker (or owner) NEEDS to be more appreciative of the customer and geez, how a bit respectful! Read moreThis place is awesome, really. I've lived near this restaurant my entire life, and they have (hands down) some of the best food in the Cheektowaga/Amherst area. Their selection is insane, and I've never had anything that wasn't delicious from their highly tested menu. Literally, from their Alfredo rainbow tortellinis to deep fried cheesecake and back to their 1/2 rack of ribs and 6 pcs of bbq chicken. Everything I've ever eaten here is amazing. That's not the issue.
The issue is, when I call 40 minutes before they close (according to both their menu and google, they close at 10 on Tuesday at 9:22) they tell me it's closed.
If you need more enlightenment, in may of 2021 I called in a delivery order over the phone and paid by the card. When the delivery driver got there, he said no card was ever run and etc. I got the whole rigamarole about how he didn't know what happened and stuff, new girl on the register etc. So after we settled everything I ended up getting my (cold) food about 15 minutes after the guy was at my house with the food. AND they still f*cked up that order, they gave me a burger instead of the taco I ordered, the dude even took the burger back instead of just letting me have the burger and the taco.
They have great food but I will only ever order takeout, and before 7. Extremely inconsistent costumer service. Especially considering that this is a small business depending on repeat, historical customers...
